Reasoner knee surgery now?

Perhaps this is old news or false news.

But on Coaches Corner Cherry said Marty may have to have knee surgery too?

I know about the pinning on his ankle already.

This team is gonna miss Reasoners absence. I really hope Marty can re-gain his form after this.

Cherry also made reference to teams "liking to play the Oilers."

Check out this link, dude...

...It says he suffered some torn cartilage in his knee as a result of that mishap in TO as well as the fractured ankle.

Was he talking about players who hate the trap or Ed Belfour?

Torn cartilage is not that big a deal, it's not that big a deal in comparison to ligament damage, he'll rebound quickly from that, I would be more worried about the pin inserted into his ankle, that will bother him until the end of the year.

Exactly. cartilage is just the lining on the end of a bone to reduce friction. You can still move the joint with some messed up cartilage, and it only takes a few weeks to get it back to 90%. But if the ligament rips there is no way to move the joint because the muscle is no longer connected to bone. Basically you're screwed until it is surgically repaired, or sometimes, if it just a partial rip, it heals itself with addition of more connective tissue as a temp fix until the ligament can fully heal

Edit : (Props to my bio teacher for that Wouldn't shut up for a week about sprains and tears)
