With the guys ahead of him on the depth chart here I think it's a great signing for everyone (NYR/ATL/Crabb).

Noooooooooooooooooo. oh well. we have plenty of his type. i really hope we get some sort of compensation otherwise the new CBA has a serious sucking point to letting these college kids just walk out on signing contracts and becoming UFAs. You can just not sign if you don't like the team and then sign with whomever you want. that pretty much makes drafting silly doesn't it?

Joey Crabb was not going to play for NYR. Slats and Maloney had 3 years to evaluate this kid. He probably will not play for Atlanta. If NYR draft college players they like, they will sign them. Obliviously the NYR felt they had better talent under contract already. Remember they did not sign Guenin. This to me says the NYR farm system is very strong and they are not going to sign everybody they draft, just because they're a draft pick. You better have game or your gone.
