While that's huge news, I found this part most interesting:

Quote:
C'est d'ailleurs durant cette saison, qu'on souhaite mémorable, que le numéro du dernier retraité digne de cet honneur, Patrick Roy, trouvera sa place dans les hauteurs de l'édifice.
Had we had confirmation that Roy's number was gonna be one of the ones retired?

So if there are only 2 more retired (for 2006-07, 2007-08) are the final 3 going to be Robinson, Dryden and Roy?

I would assume so, I can't think of any other guys who deserve their numbers retired more than these guys.

My life is now complete. I couldn't understand how we couldn't have a DVD out by now, and they were planning this behind my back? I love the Habs.

It's fun but I dont like the fact that it's going to be an american cashing in on all this.. But I've got to admit he does know how to ''celebrate'' a great tradition...

God, this will be amazing. I love how they're turing the centennial into one big celebration.

Also, Roy's number being retired is awesome.

Well, let the speculation begin on the actors portraying the greats, I'll start.

The Rocket = Roy Dupuis.

If he were healthy and spoke French (Not that you couldn't record another actor to do his voice), I would have seen Michael J. Fox play Patrick Roy. They do look a bit alike.

How do you fit 100 years of history in a 2 hour movie without making it feel like a slide show.

I'm wondering that too. If it's just a documentary, well, that's cool, but I would be more excited if they adapted the Habs history into a high-budget sci-fi space-opera extravaganza starring The Rock as Maurice Richard, Stephen Segal as Jean Beliveau, and Tony Jaa as Ken Dryden.
