Nice article about Wild prospect, don't know if it's a repost. I checked and couldn't find anything.

if this kid becomes another jason arnott type player i'll be very happy.

I don't expect a star, but a very productive, "team guy" who shows up in big games.

great 2nd liner type....

For the regular season, but hope he doesn't copy his playoffs stats.

Ahhhh, before he went to the Stars he played on the New Jersey Devils and scored the Stanley Cup clinching goal in 2000(if I remember correctly). Had 20pts in 23 games and had 15 pts the next year on the runner up team. The "A" line (Elias-Arnott-Sykora) was one of the greatest lines in the last 10 years. He would've been awesome on the Wild IMO.

If Sheppard ends up anything like Jason Arnott, we'd be verrrrrry fortunate.

Hi guys I'm probably the biggest Sheppard fan on the boards, and when he was picked by you guys my heart sank, beause I really wanted him. This kid a stud pure and simple. Future first line player capable of scoring more than a PPG. I like him WAY more than Brassard. His all around game is just amazing for someone his age. I think you guys got a big time stud in Sheppard.

I resemble his game to Arnott a comparision I made at the beginning of the year. You guys will love Sheppard.

I got to tell you. I got season tickets for his JR team the CB Eagles and he is the real deal. Being an oiler fan i was down in chicago for business and ran into kevin lowe at the ottawa airport and this was just before the olympics. I told him i was a fan of the oilers all my life and where i was from (edmonton had a farm team and won the calder cup in cape breton) so he was familar. He knew we had a big kid but did not know his name. I told him he is a mix between a thorton, leclaire and a ryan smyth. Trust me you guys are getting a power forward and what a steal you got him for. I know Brassard went before him and he is now out for 5 month with a broken shoulder. Sheppard will be huge for you
