I had a scratched cornea years ago. If I remember correctly, it took a couple of weeks to heal. Painful as a muh-fuh, too.
I guess it depends upon how bad of an abrasion he suffered.

I think it all depends on how bad the scratch is.

Lindros had a similar injury at the end of the 94-95 season. With 2 games to go in the regular season he took a shot that his Buekeboom in the ass and game back and hit Lindros in the eye. Lindros missed the final 2 games of the regular season (costing him the Art Ross) and then missed the first 3 playoff games.

Seriously, though, how do you get a scratched cornea? If I saw a stick coming at my eye, I would have duct.

Hard to duct when things happen in a blink..

Lindros really has astigmatism for weird injuries..

Not to mention, things are always exaggerated in the lens of New York.

hey now,
i've scratched both of my corneas, this kinda strikes a choroid with me.

the right from some sawdust and the left from a balloon that was popped while i was still blowing it up. both occasions i had to don an eyepatch (yeah, the "arggg" and "matey" pirate jokes got old) for at least a day.
then eyedrops for a week or so later.

Which gets me thinking...how funny would it be if Lindros played with an eyepatch? And on the first shift out there, he runs his head into the post and gets another concussion.

Now that I would pay to see!

He'd miss the post 4 times out of 5.
