Fedorov or Samsonov ??

In a keeper league, would you keep samsonov or fedorov for the next season, only point totals matters...

I doubt samsonov could score more than 60 pts and in the other hand did fedorov still have gas in the tank to rebound from last season..

Thanks for your comments

Samsonov CAN score more than 60 pts if he play the whole season. I dont think 70 is out of question.

Fedorov is a smartest pick I think though. 80 points.

Fedorov had lingering injuries last season that at times wouldn't allow him to take faceoffs. He says he's 100% healthy now. While he probably won't be playing with Nash at ES, they'll be on the same PP unit and if Nash stays healthy all hear, Feds will get some points. I think 70 points sounds about right, though he may get more if things go well.

Who is Fedorov expected to play with this year ES? I drafted him in the later rounds of my draft assuming he'd play with Nash..

If he's not playing with Nash and Zherdev it should be Modin & Vyborny

who'll be the other centre for the top 2 lines in clb? And if Zherdev doesn't sign a contract (which it doesnt look like he will at this point), who takes his place? Is brule a winger?

I'm a habs fan so you'll think i'm being a homer but Samsonov is 5 years younger or so (without looking) and playing on a speedy habs team which is suited to his style of play. He could put up 60-70pts for years to come and I don't see Fedorov being very productive for much longer.

Having seen him play last year with Edmonton, he was not half of the player he was against the habs in the playoff 3-4 years ago. IMO he's overrated. Career best : 75 pts, Only 2 seasons with 70+ and the last one was in 2001

I'm not saying he's going to put up more than 70pts I was just saying that he'll be putting up 60-70pt seasons for possible 10 more years while Fedorov may only have 3-4 more years in him with dwindling productivity to boot.

I totally agree,

I have good chances of finishing top 5 next year, that's why I'm looking for the better producer for this season.

Anyway O'sullivan should take either Samsonov or Fedorov places in my protection list at the end of the season

Yeah I'm only in a 1 year points league anyway, and when Samsonov was with Edmonton and I got to see more of him....you notice more how yes, he can stick handle amazingly and is very well built for his size, but he just can't finish. Kinda like Afinogenov. Wheels and moves, poor finishes.
