I put stastny and walter. one of them will be our new 3rd/4th line center.

i put kalus and karsums. we need a lw, and i think they both have a great shot.

i know the argument for kessel is there, but I truly dont see him making the team out of camp. he will be in PRO for at least part of the season, if for nothing else but to learn to play LW (though learning how to take hits will probably be involved )

jurcina and alberts have jobs to lose on the backline IMO.

I don't know much about them, but I'm a little surprised that there is not much hope for Collins and Trevelyan. Seems like the 4th line is wide open, and Primeau could flip flop to 4th line. I'm not really advocating for them, I'm just surprised they don't have (m)any fans. Also, it looks like - injury aside - most people are not expecting Mark Stuart to win a spot on the NHL depth chart.

You asked "Who will be on the roster opening night?". I didn't pick Stuart because I knew he wasn't going to be playing opening night because of his injury. Maybe others did the same?

that was my feeling as well. he's hurt so therefore a non-factor for the purposes of this poll.

Well I really hope that Kessel makes the team and I think he will and I think that Alberts,Jurcina and Stasny should make it they all played pretty good last year and I also think that Jurcina will be paired up with Chara since they have allredy played together in international play.

I think one of the K's will be there....although, despite Kessel's excellent play today and his obvious ice sense and awareness, I imagine he'll start the season in Providence for some seasoning.

Of the others, I'll be dissapointed if Alberts doesn't make it.

Jurcina will probably go, with Lashoff as a possible dark horse.

Stastny should be the 3/4 line center....he looked pretty good today....let's see how he does with the A squad though.

Walter has the skill, can he do it on the A squad?

Collins and Trevelyan don't have a chance IMO.

I think Collins has a better shot than a lot of folks give him credit for. He's a short-timer on the Bs prospect list since he just signed... hence the prospect-hype machine hasn't been working on him for the past year or 3. I think he'll have an uphill battle, but his relative maturity combined with his natural ability may open some eyes.
