Very good article from Douglas Flynn in todays Herald.
Outstanding quote of the day goes to Karsums- "I like to hit people". "I don't think size really matters. I like to hit as often as I can". There's a prospect and a refreshing change. ("Sully" (snicker) would have sat him on the bench or out entirely for that quote)
Lucic sounds like a gamer as well which is good to see.
It's good that Kessel has come as advertised so far with the speed and great moves.
Hopefully, we have some great building blocks for the future in camp this year unlike in the past where we haven't seen much promise from our so-called "prospects". Things are looking up so far.
Which is exactly what needed to happen after the debacle that was the 05-06 season.
Operation Save Face seems to be working.
I've had season tickets since 83 myself and never seen such a upbeat and fresh look to this organization. The Bruins just seem different to me and I means that positively.

I agree, I havn't had season tickets, or the money to get 'em, (but when I do have the $$ I will be a season ticket holder) but I really like what I see.
It makes me more positive then I usually am regarding this team..
It's very exciting, so I can imagine how exciting it is if you actually have season tickets and get to see them every day live!
I can't wait to see if this excitment and new attitude translates into the product that performs on the ice. I'm hope and I'm sure it will translate!
It really says a lot about the kind of person Dave Lewis is that he wrote a letter to Jordan Sigalet when he was diagnosed with MS as a college player. Very impressive to me.
I always love reading about Jordan Sigalet and how he handles his disease and also how his brother supports him. It's great how they both speak publically about MS. Classy kids (that's for you DC ).
It's so great reading all these hockey articles and blogs. Adios Red Sox season; bring on the B's!
– No scraps broke out in the scrimmage, but there was no lack of physical play. Karsums, who stands just 5-foot-10, 180 pounds, showed his aggressive side when he dumped Tyler Redenbach along the boards late in the first period. “I just like to hit people,” said Karsums, a native of Latvia who played Junior hockey in Moncton (QMJHL). “I don’t think size really matters. I just try to go out there and hit people as much as I can.”
Can't remember hearing a Bruin say that in awhile...

lewis sure does sound classy - i guess we'll see how classy he is about 20 games into the season, when some fans on this board start to dislike his style
Doesn't the entire organization seem like it has a new attitude. It feels different and Lewis, Chiarelli, the players all come across as likeable.
New GM, new coach, big time free agents, spending to the cap, great young players, heck even new third jerseys.. This is like night and day from previous years. I can't wait till opening night...............
You just gotta love the attitude from Karsums and Lucic!
Kessel and Kalus seem to be making quite an impression also. These two and Stastny are my picks to make the opening night roster. Everything is looking great so far, should be an exciting couple of weaks.
