Chicago-Philly PROPOSAL

Lapointe and Cullimore
for
Nedved

rids Philly of Nedved who they dont want, gives them a grinder who better fits the 3rd/4th line type of player. They also get a vet D to give them some better insurance for injuries and the like.

Chicago saves some $$$, opens a spot on the D for a youngster and take on nedved who should be a better fit on the team than lapointe.

Flame away

LaPointe would be replaced by Downie next year, and Cullimore wouldn't even be in our top six. Pass on this one.

Pass on the Hawks side as well. Would like to get rid of Culli and Lapointe but not for Nedved. Maybe 5th rounders.

Yeah but it's for NEDVED - Clarke would be delighted to get anything better than a 5th round pick for him....

exactly, and the hawks I think would do this too, just to free $$$ and a spot for a youngster on the blueline. Cullimore would be a solid 6-7 Dman for the Flyers

That's what the Flyers are trying to do at the moment.

An increase in cap hit for a third liner and a third pairing dman isn't necessarily an improvement.

Stuy, you must be joking!!! Dropping those 2 salaries for a guy that will likely only play 40 games (hopefully well) before we pay someone to take him at the deadline?? I'm in...

Chcicago gets a good player but we have some good fowards and diamonds in the rough and frees up two underperforming, aging stars

It seems like it would happen though... think about it.

Lapointe and his overpaid contract with Cullimore to Philly for Nedved. It seems pretty even and I bet if Dale Tallon saw this he talk to Dollar Bill and have this trade.

Tomarrow's Headline of the Tribune

LAPOINTE AND CULLIMORE TRADED FOR NEDVED

HAPPENED WHEN BOARD ROOM HAD A CONVERSATION

BILL WIRTZ EXTREMELY HAPPY HE GETS TO SAVE MORE MONEY!

Philly can't afford both Lapointe and Cullimore. Besides, Cullimore is what they already have too much of. If Ruutu doesn't play for the Hawks this season, they could use Nedved.

Addition by subtraction of Nedved is the premise I think.

The fact that both chicago players have 2 year deals lowers there value. Considering all three players have negative value at this moment i don't see how this helps philly.

Overpaid crap for overpaid crap? No thanks from the Flyers end, if only because we take two poos and only send one back. Cullimore for Nedved? Bah! I still dont see why we would do that.

Cullimore doesn't really do much for the Flyers. In a poop for poop deal, I would like to think there's a better fit somewhere out there.

Both are in the last years of there deals i believe.

I hate Nedved. Basicaly it's two players I hate fr one player I hate. And without Lapointe it makes us as soft as a mashmellow.

No thanks.

It's not Nedved that's the problem, it's his contract that we want rid of. I'd take Nedved for a million less on my team. Adding TWO contracts, and almost doubling what we're paying Nedved makes absolutely no sense.

There is space for Nedved on this team, now with Primeau retired... He'll do great on the 3rd line, with Sanderson and Umberger.
