Seriously, if you're a professional athlete you should watch what you're eating. If you pay attention to it, you won't gain pounds for nuttin'. He was maybe just watching movies all summer long but that's another story. He knows his physical shape is really important. It's too bad, I like him...he's always impressing me when I'm watching Hamilton.
I like Sanford, but now it's the second time he comes to camp out of shape...
He was sent back to Long Beach from the Bulldogs' camp at the start of the season last year because he came out of shape at the Bulldogs training camp...
Would he need a good kick at the right place to understand the message the direction is giving him?

for the second time ?
He doesn't need anything exepted a his notice and his 4 %
To those of you who thought that those hab players that shew up bigger than last year enjoyed alot of poutine this summer in MTL, think again. Carbonneau sent James Stanford back home after the kid came in to training camp overweight. Carbonneau said that he does not tolerate player who rely on their talent to make it in the NHL. He is a very good offensive minded defenseman but there are no need for him at this time. This means Perezhogin, Komisarek, Higgins, Ribeiro and Dandenault all worked really hard this summer and gained a few pounds of muscles . I wonder what Gainey told his players after the season...
Ouch not good for him, he better get his act together. He was the leading scorer for defensemen in Hamilton last year, so they need his offense. But this could perhaps open a door for a guy like St-Denis, with a good camp he might force the Habs to take a shot on him.
what funny is I personally met him on a plane at the end of april, he was going back home in Moncton. I asked alot of question about the habs and he was very friendly. I remember asking him if they(players) get personnal meeting with the staff before they leave for the summer he told me yes and Andre Savard told him to lose some weight and work out, I guess he didnt
Oh yeah by the way he told me that he reads this site sometimes
I liked Sanford during the off season ( or was it jancevski ? or maybe both.. pretty sure was sanford though) ... but he look like a headcase, i mean, 2 years in a row he have the chance to play on the same rink as kovalev, koivu, carbonneau, markov, etc... and he come out of shape ? And he is a rookie ? Dont he heard about the Montreal canadiens looking for a 7th dman ? I mean comon !
He also got cut from Hamilton training camp last season becuz he was out of shape.. what the deal with ya Jamee Jamee ?

I don't know anything about this specific circumstance but Carbonneau is 100% right. And the proof is that there is a lot of great talent out there playing in the AHL and Europe.
I echo most here, Carbo means business and is demonstrating some old time quality's. This is starting to turn into something special. I mean we have past hab greats all over the place in management. They want to win. they will try to win, not just be a competing team never good enough to get over the edge. We have winners in charge of a young talented team with a lot of chemestry and only a few ? marks. that can be corected during the season.(assets=players and picks, and also a few players close to jumping into the NHL)
