Favourite jerseys

They're always doing this in the NHL forum, so I thought we'd give it a go here.

- St Mike's.

Homer pick here. But I find the double blue both unique and classy. Very traditional look without looking too dated.

- Ottawa's barber poles.

Very unique. Much nicer than the monstrosity they called their home sweater in '05.

- Peterborough.

This one has a sort of 80s retro feel to it. Much like Tampa Bay in the NHL.

I have a couple of favourites:
Saginaw Spirit's home and away
Peterborough's anniversary - they were great looking jerseys. I like the regular maroon as well.
Kitchener's White (homer pick and I don't care)
Windsor's 3rds

Jerseys I don't like:
Ottawa's barberpoles. I know they're classic, but I can't stand them
Brampton's greens. Gawd, what a horrendous colour.
Belleville's yellows. Ditto.

London's 3rd jersey - simple but classic
Kitcheners regular and 3rd jersey's - again simple but classic

LiKe :
Majors whites
Sting black
Petes maroon
Dislike :
Hands down the worst design, and colour scheme anywhere (even worse than all the Canucks jerseys put together ) Battalion green - who was responsible for that monstrosity ?

I love Chicoutimi's jersey. I also like Rimouski's, and Victoriaville's new vintage 3rd is AWESOME.

I think I may be the only one in the world who like the Brampton jersey. I also like Everett and Sudbury.

Probably many others, but I can't think of them right now.

EDIT: I'm a moron. I thought this was uniforms for the entire CHL. Disregard my idiot response.

The Great:
Sault, Toronto, London, Sudbury, Ottawa (barber poles).

The Good:
Belleville, Oshawa, Peterborough, Saginaw

The So-So:
Plymouth, Sarnia, Windsor (the current team USA ones, I love their previous Winnipeg Jets jerseys), Guelph, Barrie, Brampton, Mississauga, Kingston.

The Bad:
Erie, Owen Sound, Ottawa (killer puck)

The indentical to an NHL team, so hard to judge on its own:
Kitchener

Well . .

Favourites:
Knights black jersey. Good logo and colours. It just works
Rangers traditional Blue lettered jersey. Very traditional and I like that
Saginaw white jersey. Sharp logo and good colours

Least favourite:
Battalion green (the logo was novel for a bit, but no longer)
Kitchener with the moustached character
Guelph: The colours are actually pretty good but the dust devil with eyes logo needs an overhaul

ALL TIME least favourite:
London Knitro jersey. Looked like a cartoon character breaking out of a wet paper bag. The teale and eggplant "ducks" colours were not good either. Glad to see it go.

Thankfully, the Tex jersey was retired two seasons ago. It was horrible. Kitchener's thirds are a lot like the Habs third jerseys - not bad, but took some getting used to.

I love the Sudbury Wolves jersey, and more importantly i love the Wolf that comes from the corner to the scoreboard after every wolves goal!

St.Mikes is by far my favourite followed by Saginaw. I like the Storm jerseys even though the logo is pretty goofy. Windsor and Plymouth are another two I like a lot as well as the older Oshawa jerseys.

And add my to the list that would rate the barber pole near the very bottom. I guess you either love them or hate them. Owen Sound and Eire are at the bottom as well.

I don't recall seeing that third jersey. Is it strictly a home jersey? I actually like the Habs alternate uni

Although I absolutely hate the Knights, you have to give credit where credit is due, and all I can say is that their black jersey is the best in the league. The black and green blend tremendously. Saginaw has a pretty dope jersey as well, home and away. Owen Sound has an alright jersey considering their design was created by a Junior High student (I think so anyway...).

I actually do like the black ones quite a bit. I could do without the all green jerseys though.

Well I guess neither of us is surprised then LOL

PS: Seriously, do you like the Storm twister logo? Somehow I think they have a tough task creating a good logo based on the name. Lettering would be better (I think) because the colours do work

PPS: I'd love to see Peterborough have a "Pete" picture just so we could actually see what a "Pete" is.

I only liked the "all green" because it was supposed to be lucky. But would I buy one? Nope

PS: Maybe the best vote is the vote with $$$

Peterborough has very classy jerseys. By the way, anyone know where you can purchase a pro weight junior jersey? All I can seem to find available are semi-pro jerseys. Thanks.

Get it directly from the team...you can find the websites by going to chl.ca under 'related links' then the team site usually has a merchandise section or team store.

You're right, I do not like the logo. As unoriginal as the letters diagonally across the chest, I'd like to see Guelph ditch the big wannabe Storm and adopt the design of their third jersey (with a different colour scheme so you can read the damn numbers) as their regular jersey, if only for the reason that the current logo is probably the best they can do without making it look like a big fluffy cloud and a lightning bolt or something.

It's tough when these teams pick stupid names like "Petes" and "Storm", just like the Flyers in the NHL - how the hell do you visualize a "Flyer"?
