Other than the top 6 and Chara, the rest of the lineup isn't really strong. Alberts, Primeau, and Donovan will all be lesser players for Boston, while Tenkrat, Hoggan, Thompson, Karsums, Sigalet, Dempsey, Lashoff, and York are now all fighting for one job (one on offence, one on defence).

It's preseason. What should the Bruins do? Not let their players get into gameshape?
No need to get so defensive, he's simply stating that most of the team will be there come the regular season, and it will aside from a few on offense/defence. Nobody's attacking their strategy or made any assumptions to what they should do, so chill out, have a beer, and get ready for the game tonight!

Let's not get carried away. Outside of Chara and possibly Alberts as a 6th deman, our defence will look nothing like this. Your forwards should have ample oportunity to score when chara is off the ice.

Kovalev has never had trouble making Chara look like a pylon, so I'm not worried for when Chara IS on the ice.

Don't understand why Manlow gets a chance and Stewart won't. Do we know if the rest of the players will evidently get a chance next Friday or players like Stewart and my beloved Urquhart might be cut before???

And Kosty Jr. definately deserved a chance to play at least one game but most certainly more just to know if he's a Dogs candidate as well....

I forgot Locke as well. Wished the goalies tandem would be more balanced. An Aebisher-Desjardins and Danis/Halak would've been more appropriate. Halak and Desjardins against the Leafs....in Toronto.....talk about a great test though...

The d-men to check within the org. for that 6th and 7th spot are Jancevski, Benoit and even Groulx might have a chance. I don't see O'Byrne as a candidate. Let's see what they can do tonight!

That's because guys like Manlow and Milroy should be cut soon....So they are giving them a chance. But the other guys will stick arround and play on more complete lineups.

I think so too... the race is between Benoit and Jancevski

Nope...I still don't understand why him and S.Kost haven't got a chance yet...

Locke deserves a chance...they should forget that he's small and give him a chance. I think, he'll eventually maybe saturday.
