I'm watching the PPV and they just interviewed him. He said he's gonna be #77. I have to say, Gene is really impressing me with his interview prowess and class. He's asking intelligent questions and nothing non-tasteful.

Might be a bonus clause...

Anyway, I hope Randy Mitton is alright. I've admired him for years - it would be a shame if he was injured. He's old enough that blowing out a knee would probably be career ending.

*edit*
He's back, so I guess he's ok.

7 games with no shot by Hemsky according to CHED they even mentioned the Oates-Hemsky passing to each other plus they pointed out last time Ales shot against Detroit he scored.

good job so far. definitely not a good stat for hemsky though. i really hope someday he will use his shot, cmon man seven games now without a shot. your passing skills are second to none, but your shot could be even better. hhhhhhhhhheeeeeeemmmmmsssssskkkkyyyyy shoot the puck.

That's it ladies and germs...5-2 final.

Seemed like after the Torres goal, Chicago wilted a bit. Dvo with a 3 point night.

Hemsky another shotless evening.

Well on a positive note, if Hemsky never learns to shoot more, the Oilers will be able to afford him a little longer...

I really don't know what it is... maybe when Salo is back on his skates, he and Hemsky can spend an hour after practice one time and they can just work together, with Hemsky shooting from everywhere...

I like Radek Dvorak more with every game I watch him.

Carter said the right things. Dvorak does the right things.

That took alot of guts to go down and block that blast from the point in the middle of the game. He played that so perfectly........and people, it was blast! Great play when the Oilers were reeling badly. Anson doesn't lie down there.

I was really happy he was the one to pot the empty netter. He deserves alot more goals than he has.

It's almost like we hope players don't become too good, otherwise we won't be able to keep them. Then again, we've had to give up alot of average players because of salary as well. It's hopeless no matter how a guy develops (unless the next cba improves things-the first offer from the nhlpa looked good)
