I agree with most cuts except Maxwell....but then again...although he is playing well...he does not have an immediate future with the club and Montreal can't keep playing two separate lineups in the pre-season.

Well done Bob

I wish Desjardins had a shot at a game.. but we have more important goalies to showcase (i.e. Halak)

Poor Kosty Jr.

Maxwell... well it was an excellent experience for him. I look forward to following him in the W this year

It was all expected...no real surprise here. Even Kostitsyn isn't a surprise...it was either London or Hamilton, but Timmins already told the media that he will be the go to guy in London...

Those are good cuts, all are more or less logical. The next round should be tougher.

Well, I'm glad and pissed off....

Pissed off 'cause I guess a camp doesn't mean anything when your Junior age, Kosty Jr. deserved a game, and he at least wanted to prove that he could play for the Dogs, now not only he didn't get the chance for the Habs but no Dogs as well. He must be pissed off and so am I for him.

Maxwell had a great great game and deserved another one. We all know he's not ready but I would've like to see how he conducted himself in Toronto.

Based on this, we can know something for a fact, Patrice Bergeron would've never play for the Habs as an 18th year old.....

The good:

Desjardins was a waste of space for our other goalies, he's going in Cincinnati anyway.

And I totally agree with the others, Aubin might have deserve another game but I prefer still seeing Locke, Grabovski and others still here.

I'm glad Kostityn is back in London. We will see if he can assume a leading scorer role without Rob Schremp.

You're probably right...they would have done as they are doing with Latendresse.

Also, I think a junior player attending camp is there more for pro camp experience rather than actually having to prove something.

I am pissed that Kosty jr. did not get to play.
And without a doubt Maxwell deserved at least one more game!

No matter how many games you give to those young guys people will always complain...had Kosty jr played one game I bet you would have said that he deserved at least one more...

personally i'm ok with the cuts they made except for maybe Dagostini but even that cut is ok in my books...

i agree to some extent but i think it's more important to give chances to players that actually have a chance to play for us this year, it's also important for our main players to develop chemistry before the real season starts we can't keep alot of players around for too long

Let's just that the complaining level would've been less dramatic. The guy was, by most of the people, seen has having a much better camp than his bro. And don't forget that he was also allowed of playing in Hamilton despite being 19. So it's not a question of giving him a gift to play in an NHL buildings, it's to really see what he's made of and maybe being able to make the Dogs.

Sure the Habs policy is to let the Juniors develop in the Juniors, but I don't believe they know how to adapt themselves depending on the players and we may have been too critical about the scouts and might start looking on how they develop players and help them reach their ceiling.......

No real suprises, and no reason to get angry. I understand some posters are frustrated about junior aged players, but with some many players in camp and only a few spots available, we have to be realistic. Yes, it would have been nice to see Kost jr. in a game, but in the long run it changes nothing at all.

Montreal can't keep players in camp just because they might have a shot at maybe making the team 3 years down the road. Again, no suprises and no reason to be disapointed with any of the decisions.

Nice list. But Chippy should be under that line, maybe even Garth Murray. Still have 5 goalies?

Sergei will benefit going back to London, I guarantee it and it is nothing personal from the club. The Habs are very high on Sergei and he will probably end up with a better oppurtunity sooner than his brother received.

I want AK to crack this roster....

With 8 preseason games, I do not think cutting Maxwell after Friday's game or giving Kosty Jr. a game on Friday, which will be only the 3rd game, would've make much different.

I'm all for the sooner the better as far as having the regular mix of guys to blend in right at the start, but you have to also show that your performance actually means something.

Somebody said it, Timmins said before the start of the camp, that Kosty Jr. would have a great opportunity to shine in London. Their idea was already done, you could've scored 20 goals in 2 game, you're going in London and that's what I don't agree with.

The presence of Ajay Baines still with the team is beyond me though. Here's the spot for Kosty Jr.....

Manlow had a better camp than Baines, he had a good game yesterday, he's gone, Baines still in......

I don't know if we're necessarily in the best position to judge who has had the better camp than who. It's still so early, and there hasn't been all that much game play to go by, and there's a lot more to camp than game play.

That said, wasn't Manlow chosen and signed by Hamilton, whereas Baines was GaineyCo's own selection? I don't think either one was expected to last long, so fine, we've seen what we need to of Manlow, Baines will probably get his chance Friday or Saturday, then off he goes too. Not a big deal.
