I like the idea of Ryder-Koivu-Zednik on a line. Hopefully the line will produce something tonite and CJ will keep them together for awhile.

This policy of scratching players needs to change. As it did with Dackell, Audette, and Czerkawski, it completely destroyed their trade value. I understand the need to ice a competitive team and the need to hold players accountable, but surely there must be a better way than this. No other team puts more big paychecks in the press box than Montreal.

Don't like it , Perrault had a decent game next to Bulis and Dackell last night against Ottawa . Julien will probaly use Juneau-Dackell vs Naslund .

If Zednik can get out of his slump, this could be one heckuva line: all three players can hit, get the puck out of corners, and score. IMO, this line has potential.

Then again, I thought the same thing (potential-wise) of Hossa-Ribs-Ryder, and look where that line is now...

agree, this line is interesting.
I think the second line should go like that
Hossa-Ribeiro-Audette
the tird:
Bulis-Perreault-Dackell
the fourth:
Kilger-Bégin-Langdon

Lines I would've liked to have seen tonight...

Ryder - Koivu - Zednik (last chance to show some effort)
Kilger - Ribeiro - Audette
Bulis - Juneau - Dackell --> often against Naslund/Bertuzzi
Begin - Perreault - Sundstrom

They gotta put Zednik on the left side. He performs better there, and Ryder wouldn't be on his off-wing.

Which would be what?

Don't worry about their trade value as they had none to begin with.

Yes, but that was especially true when he was cutting to the inside in front of the goal a lot, which led to the McLaren incident. Since then, he doesn't do it nearly as much (if at all), and prefers a weak wrap around which never works.

Damnit, I keep fo'gettin'!!

Of course... Zednik - Koivu - Ryder

And maybe I would scratch Perreault and go with a 4th line of...

Hossa - Begin - Sundstrom
