i'd love to get revenge on these guys after a hard fought tie last game. I think we're playing prime hockey right now and I'm sure we'll take it to them tonight. Hopefully Somik's presence can give us a dominate fourth line and i'm looking forward to seeing him after all those games he missed.
The flyers seemed to turn around there not so great start against Carolina after going down 2-0 in the first period. I expect domination from the flyers in a 4-1 victory over a below average team. I'll go with goals from Recchi, Gagne, Johnsson, and Leclair. The top three lines will all get on the board tonight.
Should be a very competitive game tonight. You guys seem to be playing really well right now, so I give you the slight edge. But hopefully we won't make it easy for you.

Good luck and no injuries.
Just out of curiousity, why should it be a very competitive game? The Canes are a very average team, if that. The only reason I could see it being competitive is because of the Primeau thing. The Flyers are an elite team who played one bad period as a result of coming off a West Coast swing, which led to a tie game (in their first meeting). If both teams play up to their abilities, it should be a 2-3 goal victory for the Flyers. That doesn't mean it will be though. The Flyers may be due for a let down.

I think you underestimate the Hurricanes just a bit.
I'm not going to try to change your minds about the Hurricanes. Probably would be a waste of time. We'll see how the game goes.
It's not really relevant how the game goes. Carolina is a team that had the worst record in the league last year and is now 2 games below .500. They play in the worst division in hockey, imo, and are in 4th place currently. They have some decent young players, most notably Staal and Vasicek, and some decent veterans. They have an average defense, maybe slightly above, and a below average goaltender, imo. I don't think i'm underestimating anyone. I'd be interesting in hearing an argument about their playoff chances not to mention their ability to compete with the best team in the east right now, if not the entire NHL.
Oh well, best of luck anyways guys. Hoping for a spirited contest.
I'm not trying to be mean spirited, I was just curious what Carolina has shown that would make you think they can compete on a nightly basis with one of the best teams in the leauge.

Well just for arguments sake, what game in today's NHL is not a competitive game? With clutching and grabbing the way it is, every team has a chance to win every single night.

I don't know, maybe because the last time we played them we skated to a tie. Also, we were down during the third period and luckily Mark Recchi scored a shorty to get us the tie. Doesn't matter what the record is. When a team like ours is playing so well, everyone will be looking to knock us off.

Well the Flyers have played quite a few games that weren't competitive. Most notably games against Toronto, Montreal, and Florida (7-1, 5-0, and 5-1). After the slow start that the flyers had, they've dominated the teams that they should beat and this is another one that they SHOULD do the same, that doesn't mean they necessarily will.

The Flyers were off to a slow start and coming off a west coast trip, playing their first game. That's a game that most teams lose due to the hangover effect. The Flyers played a horrible 1st period in that game and got down early and then dominated the rest of the game, imo. The game will probably be competitive because it's in Carolina and the Flyers are due for a let down, that doesn't mean that it should be.
0-0 through 2 periods. We have 29 shots on goal so far, but still no goals! Hell, even Therien has 4 shots! Hopefully this ends up like the Atlanta game.
