The ice looks terrible...the puck looks like it bouncing around everytime someone tries to stickhandle with it lol. Guess that was expected though.

1-1 first period. NY played well, just needs to put a few more in the net. The ice does look a bit choppy, but NY looks like the better team and should have a good 2nd period

It's a decent game on the ice it's just painful to watch with Al and Joe in the booth

Just some observations..

This is the best Pock has looked as a Ranger.

Dawes in one shift had two great scoring chances. He has NHL speed and plays well with Hall.

Prucha looks just as good as last year...

Betts one bad giveaway will be a point of referance on these boards for the next week or so..

Staal looked up and down..

Cullen and Shanahan are bigger upgrades over Sykora and Rucchin than I realized.

Al is atrocious.

"Marty Dubinsky"

"Rachunek was a late pick in the 90's by Ottawa, Rangers made a trade for him and finally brought him over to the NHL this year from Russia"

Someone forgot to tell Al that Rachunek was in the NHL for years.

Didn't really see what pleased you so much about Pock. Did like what I saw from Dawes, also took the body alot.

Also, Hollweg seems even faster, and more motivated from last year, he had one shift which they replayed, where his legs never stopped moving. I also loved what I saw from Hall. From what I see, our physicality issue is getting there

Gotta love Al though, also loved the little scene with Al and Joe at the beach to kick things off. And nothing better than seeing the guys hanging at the beach last night with Shanny staying back with the kids.

Pock still being Pock....went right up the middle twice on the same shift trying to ice it on the PK and both times he couldnt get it out.

edit - haha pock being pock...now he scored a goal ...or it got deflected...still had a part in it.

Pock had a hell of a shot might have been a deflection but still looked good. Dawes impressed me that period as well.
