what are you looking for this season???

As a hab fan, what are you most interested to see this upcoming season?? I for one, would love to see "some" hab be in the top ten in scoring and of course for Huet to have a great year. Maybe even have a couple of NHL awards given to a member of the red-white and blue. In the way of trades, I would love to see a big name franchise player come to Montreal. What about you??

Would love to end the season entering the playoff with the home ice advantage ..

Alson be glad to hear that MNontreal had the best Rookies in their team this season ...looking forward to see Plek, Perez, Kostitsyn and Lats playing some really good games this year as well as Higgins and Ryder...of course....

Would also be very happy to see Mike Ribeiro having his best year in the NHL...

Oh...and the cup!!!

I'd most like to see the team win at least 2 series (top four) and make a run for the Cup.

I'd like to see a team that shows up every night and wants the 2 points.
A team where players stand up for each other...

Plekanec, Higgins, Perezhogin, Kostsitsyn getting better and better.
A good goalie tandem in Huet/Aebischer.
Samsonov and Kovalev producing a lot together.
Bouillon hitting everything, Souray getting 20 goals mostly on the powerplay, Markov improving again, Rivet having another great season, Komisarek improving.
The key to our success is cohesion ; we have a good line-up on offense with depth, and for once I can't say we have any dead-wood on offense, which is why I've never been this excited about a season.
We could finish 5th in the conference.

-A hab in the 10 ten scoring would be fun
-Winning 2 playoffs series would be insane for the city and fans

The player I look forward to seeing the most this year is Tomas Plekanec. I think this guy is ready to break out and can't wait to watch it! Plus seeing Samsonov and Johnson in Hab's jerseys will be cool. Be really interesting to watch Samsonov and Kovalev play together.

I just hope Carbonneau doesn't lose the team and brings it to the playoffs my more than 2-3 points over the 10th spot.

It'd be nice to see Montreal with home ice advantage, or a Hab in contention for a major award, but I don't really see either happening, though the first is more likely than the second.

Overall I want the Habs to score more goals.
What I want most to see, is Prez/Pleks/Kost, gel as a unit and each get 20+ Goals. This would of course solve the Habs overall scoring, break out both Prez and Kost and make the Habs a much more feared on the attack. It would give fits to other coachs and change most game plans against the Habs.

We know about what the first line will do, we know about what the 2nd line will do, it's that third line I want to gel and get going.

I agree. The sucess of the third line will be important to the sucess or lack thereof this season. Do you see Johnson or Kost on this line? A 4th line of Bonk-Begin-Johnson isnt too shabby.

One thing that I REALLY want to see is Saku Koivu taking the opening faceoff in the season opener against Buffalo.

Things I hope for:
- winning 2 playoff rounds would be awesome
- a healthy Saku all season
- grit, heart, and work ethic

Things I'd be satisfied with:
- making the playoffs
- net improvement over last season for majority of players not named Rivet, Begin, or Huet (as those are the players who I thought played over their heads if anything)

Things I don't really care about:
- scoring leaders, individual awards, rookies on the team, franchise players, big trades, etc.

Yes Kostitsyn is who I see there.
Tender will give him a run for the last hab spot, but Kost has paid his dues in the AHL and Tender has not. Both Gainey and Carbo are conservative, they will want to NOT BRING UP anyone that's not ready.

a player in a race for an offensive award (Rocket, Art Ross, Norris)

home ice advantage for the playoffs

an exciting that gives us great games

Komisarek hitting and banging everyone while still playing great D and score more than 5 goals next year.

Havint our kids continue to improve.

They all seem to be speedy goalscorers. Maybe we will find out how good of a playmaker Pleks is.
