Ronning was on QR77 Calgary sports talk radio, and all signs indicate that Calgary is interested.

Ronning would be an interesting acquisition for Calgary.. where would he play though? I thought center was one of the few places Calgary actually had some depth with guys like Conroy, Lombardi, Reinprecht and Betts..

Guess Conroy would go

Maybe uppie the package with Lydman to try and land Langenbrunner, man would I love to have him. What Calgary needs is a physical winger who can pot 20 goals (more would be nice, but we're talent poor ) and signing Ronning would make Conroy a tradable asset.

I believe he can play left wing as well...

Has produced wherever he has played, good for about 40-50 points a year, not bad.

I think that's next to impossible right now.. didn't Burns just call Langenbrunner one of the top 10 two-way forwards in the game? Signing Ronning would definitely make Conroy expendable.. I still think Conroy would be great in NJ but I don't think they'd be willing to give up Gomez or Langenbrunner in a deal, the two players Calgary would most likely want. What line would you expect Ronning to play on in Calgary?

The Ronning move would definitely free up Conroy, and landing Langenbrunner would be a good move for any team in the NHL. But he really seems at home in New Jersey, and I don't see why the Devils would move him.

It wouldn't really free up Conroy. The age difference makes Conroy more valuable in the long run. He's going to be around awhile, while Ronning is near the end of his career.

Ronning can't play wing, people just think he can. He played the wing when he was in LA and it didnt work out well.

The third team was Atlanta. He's close to signing with Nashville, Calgary, or Atlanta.

Ronning played wing almost the entire time he was in Nashville. Legwand was his center.

Worked fine here...

I could see him going back to Nashville to finish up his carear. He pretty much put that team on the map a few years ago, as one of the players who could produce.
