Just read this on USA today

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (AHL) - Signed defenseman Dave
Karpa to a 25-game tryout contract.

Penguins signed him to be a depth Defencemen for their AHL Club.

I think its not so much a jab at the Pens, but more at Karpa, who's been reduced to AHL try-out contracts.

And to think that him and Ulanov we signed instead of guys like mathieu Schenider, Jon Klem, Bob Boughner, Brad brown, Jason Marshall, Ken Sutton. It makes me wanna cry

We're laughing because we know how bad Karpa is, was and will be. If you think he will be a "solid" presence in the AHL you should go talk to some Hartford Wolfpack fans--where Karpa played most of his games for the Ranger organization last year. They will be more than happy to trash the slug they called Krapa for you.
