While I know that the Preds are missing AJ and Walker, I can't help but think that there is (or should be) a new top line in town. Watching Legwand center Hartnell and Hall last night and a few other times, they really looked sharp -- just very unlucky last night -- several times I thought they had a goal to make it an interesting game. If I were coaching, I'd be force feeding these three youngsters all the icetime (and PP time) they could handle because you have a solid defensive presence and all the elements of a top unit (playmaker-Legwand, cornerman/grinder/power-Hartnell, and shooter/garbageman-Hall).
I would be happy to see Walker and AJ on their return with Johnson or another centerman.
Is there any forward on the team that you have confidence in? i.e. is there anyone you think can pick a corner and hit it from 20 feet away. I sure don't.
My definition of a goalscorer is a guy that can has a good shot, can get open for a shot, get off a shot quickly and accurately, and has some one-on-one abilities (to make himself open for the shot), and can shoot in traffic.
Johansson is the best "goalscorer" on thet team.
I think both Zidlicky and Timonen have above average goalscoring ability.
I think Walker and Hartnell are "decent" goalscorers.
After that, it gets pretty thin. Arkhipov used to, but we've only seen flashes of it lately.
