players offrosters

I think we, boardmembers, take it too seriously when a player, specially a young one, is put in the press box... Ryder (saw him in an interview on RDS) said it was a great thing to have the time to watch a game with Gainey. to see the game from another point of view.. to actually watch a game and see what others do and dont... so im wondering...can that be a good thing for hossa and hainsey.. I mean maybe they are going to learn from Gainey, see whats wrong with his game etc ????

Heck maybe Perreault can still learn a few thing from Gainey.. altho I think its harder when you have been doing something all your career but well...

I don't think it's such a big deal either....as long as they get into some games now and then.

Good post. I've been preaching this all year.

Send a message via MSN to EquabaleAce
remember what burns did with mighty joe thorton his first year.
he sat alot and when he did play it was on the 4th line
i know he was only 18 at the time but sitting in the box, espically when able to pick the mind of bob gainey can do alot to help the youth of the team. but it might rub some guys the wrong way and they lose confidence. lets just hope it works for our guys.

good thread

Ah, some logic to counter the Chicken-Little syndrome...I like it.

Thanks for posting this point of view, it makes way too much sense!!
