I hope he does well. The kid has all the talent in the world.. but unfortunately questionable attitude/work-ethics.
Löven could use a scorer of his calibre, if he can transition his scoring touch from the junior league, that is.

Dragan's getting reasonable ice time at Björklöven (1 goal and 3 assists in 7 games), and he seems to be popular among Björklöven fans. In yesterdays game against arch rivals Skellefteå he got a game misconduct for an upparently unwarranted head-butting of Skellefteå's Mattias Nilimaa. The situation occurred when the game was tied at 1-1 approx five minutes into the final period, and when a Skellefteå player was being sent to the penalty box. His actions in that particular situation has been criticized from both the media and the Björklöven coaches. Apart from that he seems to be doing well at Björklöven.

Dragan Umicevic has a contract with Södertälje SK for next season as well, but I wouldn´t be surprised if he has played his final game for Södertälje already. The coach for Södertälje and Dragan don´t exactly get along so who knows...

Dragan will finish the season with Björklöven no matter what, though he seems to struggle with them as well scoring only one goal in ten games so far.

This is sort of off topic, but is Dragan Umicevic Swedish??? Like, are the names "Dragan" and "Umicevic" Swedish names???

i've never heard the name Dragan before, but Umicevic is clearly of some sort of Slavic origin. he was born in Sweden and is considered Swedish, but i would assume his ancestors are not Swedish (at least, not on his father's side).

yes, it seems much more Bosnian or Serbian Slavic than Czech or Slovak Slavic, for example.

but classifying it as 'Balkan' could be misleading, as i am from the Balkans (originally) and very much not Slavic.

Dragan is born in Köping, Sweden.

Swedish fans can read an interview with him here:

The most interesting would be that he admits he doesn't get along with the Södertälje head coach.

Well, at least he's man enough to admit it right?? but that must create a lot of tension when he's playing if he doesnt get along with the coach.....

I think it's the main reason why he is on loan at Björklöven.

Lahtinen just can't stand him sense he's so unwilling to work. He's lazy and a pure diva.
