Painchaud sent to AHL

It was released yesterday that Painchaud was sent to the AHL after a shot time with the Thrashers training camp. 10 other players were also sent to the AHL from Atlanta in which 6 of these are already litsed on the roster for Chicago Wolves(AHL)
and Painchaud is not. So this is telling me he has to shine in traing camp wich begins Sept.21 and earn a spot or it's back to the OHL.
Of course most of us are hoping for the latter.

Painchaud is not returning to the OHL, I confirmed this with management.

He'll probably play in the ECHL with the Gwinnett Gladiators.

GM Allan Miller has led the Sarnia community this week tht he is not %100 sure that Chad will not return.

Well, he must not have spoken to the Thrashers then. They hold his contract, and he's staying in the system.

Millar is perhaps just trying to sell tickets.

As much as I adore Chad and being one of Sarnia's favourite players after attending mini camps, main camp, and pre-season games I honestly think it's time that the Fans and Millar get over it and accept the fact that Chad won't be back and perhaps show a little faith in the current team we have as they are looking pretty damn good !
I wish Chad all the best for the future and after the horrific last weeks of his OHL carrer I for one am so happy that the knee injury didn't hold him back !
Good Luck Chad and hope to see ya playing for the NHL in a year or two !

Hey , has anyone heard anything about Painchaud? After reviewing a Wolves Training Camp Roster dated as of today he was not listed. Is he off to the Glads ?

I will miss Chad. I wish that I could have met him. He was my favourite player in Sarnia.
