(HF) Zack Stortini Interview

Having trouble connecting with Eddie Caron so Zack Stortini is next on my list. This interview could happen as soon as a couple of hours from now so get your questions in NOW!

What was the first thing you thought when you herd Edmonton call your name (other then relief)?

What do you see as your job on the ice and what do you pride yourself in doing well.?

If you could play with any Oilers player (not from the past) who would it be?

Who was your favorite player growing up?

Who do you think you could/should be compared to in style of play in the NHL?

In which areas should you improve to get to the NHL ?

What are your strengths and your weaknesses ?

Did you ever think about playing NCAA instead of junior ?

Who´s your best coach so far and what makes him so special (what did he teach you well ?)

What do you think about the Oates-Signing ?

You´ve been captain of an OHL-Team at the age of 17 - do you have a special talent on handling teammates or something like that ?

Who´s your favorite player on the Oilers (name just one and tell why) ?

What are the big importances in hockey ?

Did the Oilers talk to you before the draft (if yes, what did they ask you, how was your impression about the little talk) ?

Thanks Guy !

As the captain in his 2nd year, do you feel added pressure to pick up more of an aoffensive role to go along with the role player type of player you were lasr yyear (i'm not going to correct spelling misteakes, it takes to long on my damn cpu)

did the Oilers Org emphasize to you what they envisione your game being at the pro level, if so what was that?

If not what do you envision your role/style being?

Obviously you can chuck the knuckles with the best of them in the OhL/CHL, do you think that was one of the things that led to the Oilers drafting you and are you planning on taking this opportunity to improve your overall game to possibly be more of a player in the mold of Moreau, someone that hits and fights when needed or someone more like Laraque...or possibly someone in between, who does their fair share of fighting and hitting, getting ar egular shift? (wow, what a bad ?)

Uhmm...How are the WOlves doing this year compared to your expeotations to begin the season? (he plays for the wolves right?)

Are you continuing to work on your skating, it looked much improved during the rookie camp from all the reports.

If so, what else are you working on over this season and what does it mean to be in the 2nd year of captaincy in Sudbury?

Any goals for this season that you set coming in?

How was your experience at the rookie camp? Anything they told you that shed some new light on areas of the game you hadn';t paid much attention to before or areas of your game that you didn't realize weren't up to par with what they can be?

thanks

Bumping this again as Zack didn't call back yesterday so the interview is still "tentative" right now. It's not too late to get your Q's in.

Do Sudbury players miss the old Wolves-Cents games? Which team 'replaced' the Cents as your main rival?

How long before you turn pro and play for the Roadrunners (or jump straight to the NHL and play for the Oilers)?

Q's For Stortini

Do you have a goal for when you want to be an NHL regular? If so, when?

Who, in your league, do you see as having special talent, as in NHL star class?

Other than that, just for the coming heavyweight!
