I just hope that it won't be the same as what happened with Deadmarsh. I remember that TSN put "Deadmarsh returning soon" or something like that and then he had a setback.

Please don't let this be a jinx.

Fantastic. I agree with you on the concept of what happened with Deadmarsh happening to Allison. Could be a right mad roggering if things go the same.

I think we are looking at 6 weeks if all goes well. does this seem right?

According to the OC Register, Allison had a minor setback because he was pushing too hard. He tried going at 100%, but then felt the symptoms so he had to step back for a bit. He said if he were going 80% or 90%, then he'd be fine. He's still optimistic that he can return soon. He said that it could take any where from 3 weeks to 2 months, it's still a little hard to tell.

He says he "hopes to join in full-team practices by the end of next week and remains optimistic he will play soon"... so, I guess we can all take it for what it's worth. This came out of his mouth and only he knows how he feels.

"Jason Allison had a bit a setback yesterday, reports the LA Daily News. He had been skating hard for a few days with very few post-concussion symptoms, but yesterday he experienced some more significant vision problems and pressure, and will now stop skating for a few days. Allison remains out of action indefinitely."

Some good news...hopefully he will return.

Jason Allison believes that it is 'days and weeks' before he will return rather than 'weeks and months'.

Allison is back skating but still not participating in contact drills. That said, as his problems were related to a chemical inbalance rather than post-concussion syndrome, he may still play this season.

There were new information today as well:

Jason Allison is encouraged by recent skating sessions, reports the LA Times. He feels better and believes that the post-traumatic migraine medication is working. Allison is still a few weeks away from being cleared for contact so he is not out of the woods yet.

There is no time table. No one can confirm. Best we can do is hope.
