Marc Crawfords Radio Interview on FAN 590 today

I just happened to hear it today, and when they werent talking about Bertuzzi or the canucks they did talk about the team this year. He was asked about the kings and what to expect this year and he mentioned his "5 forwards". They were cammalleri, Frolov, Brown, O'sullivan and Kopitar. He seems pretty excited about the future of this core. It sounded like Both kopitar and o'sully were both gonna make the team. He wants to get this core more nhl experience. So that means we have a lotta fringe players that can play forward somewhere else in the league that we will probly have to trade. He did mention Lauri Tukenen as an upcoming forward, but couldnt get a good look at him cause hes been injured.

He also talked about Sean avery, in the dressing room Rob Blake sits on one side, and Matthias Norstrom sits on the other side of him. I guess the vets are gonna try and keep him in line.

And of course there was cloutier praising. But thats expected.

He's clearly talking about "young" forwards... as Koops said, the "core."

That is good news. Just picture this approx. three years down the road:

O'Sullivan-Kopitar-Frolov
Pushkarev-Cammalleri-Brown
Moulson-Boyle-Tukonen
Kanko-Lewis-Parse

I honestly belive now that we have Kopitar , O`Sullivan it makes a few players tradeable and a few trades will go down soon. D:

If that was our team down the road, I'd be wondering why we haven't got the #1 pick.

You may be right. This will be the year that tells. If he doesn't get his head out of his butt and start listening to what the coaches are telling him, his career with LA will be over.

I see it a little different:

Frolov - Kopitar - Cammalleri
O'Sullivan - Lewis - Elite Player (Free Agent/Trade)
Brown - Boyle - Tukonen
Kanko - Avery - Skilled Enforcer

Realistically, half of those players won't make it. I'm not trying to be pessimistic; that's just the odds. Remember when people were dreaming of a future Karlsson-Steckel-Aulin line? haha

Didn't your mother ever teach you that if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all?

Now you're just being silly!

You know perfectly well that is was the Karlsson-Steckel-Anshakov line!

Those 5 guys plus Conroy will most likely fill out our top 6 to start the season. Avery, Army, Belanger, Willsie, McCauley, and Thorton will fill out the bottom 6 IMO if they are all healthy.

Someone should come up with a name for this phenomenon: random threads becoming "what will our lines be like?" It happens every 5 threads or so.

But now that we're at it:

I dunno how Crawfords plans to line them up, so I'll just make a list of our future forwards:
Kopitar
Frolov
O'Sullivan
Cammalleri
Brown
Tukonen
Lewis
Boyle
hm: Pushkarev, Moulson, Parse
So I do think we've got a nice forward crop to look forward to.
