GIVE ME A BREAK BUDDY , THIS IS A FINE DEAL . He has been a major flop in the playoffs, period , he is 26 , upside is over, THE BOTTOM LINE IS YOU CANT WIN WITH HIM AS ONE OF YOUR TOP 2 CENTERS, I HAVE SAID THIS FOR YEARS , he had chance after chance
to be a difference maker , he is soft , one dimensional, weak 2 way center , we have to stop praising this guy , he IS WAY OVER RATED.
how about Ninnimaa, is he good ? NO, he's pure CRAP now !
I thought Montreal was weak on Center now trading ribs...
I hope Captain K is ok...
something is up... Jason Allison???
I can't see Bob G trading ribs without a backup in mind for center...
Exactly what I'm thinking, we finished last season with Markov, rivet, sourray, komi, dandy, streit, why couldn't we start that way until bouillon comes back and when he will be back ninimaa and his 2.5M contract will be in the stands? or mayby Dandy and his 1.8M? I really think there's an other deal comin, perez + FA def for a center. Cause right now we're almost at max with tender's salary + ninimaa's
I'm disappointed with the return on this trade. It weakens the Habs in the short term, but I feel in the long run it makes Montreal a better team. I never felt that Montreal could go deep into the playoffs with Mike Ribeiro as their #2 centre. He was just unwilling or unable to be effective in the playoffs. He's not nearly as bad as some make him out to be, but I feel he would have always been a liability in the post season.
Worst trade so far by Gainey. We get another soft european, makes 2.5 mls a year, overpaid, his best years are behind him and also he has played for about five different teams usually an indication of bad in the room or personal problems Ribeiro is a local boy, so what the f-----k is good with this trade
