5th Annual Opening Night Contest..

Here we go, the time has come once again ..

My official opening night thread, 5th annual I might add .. Asks the simple question ... WHO SCORES THE FIRST GOAL OF THE SEASON FOR YOUR BOSTON BRUINS ..

I'll start it off by going with .. Brad Stuart (on the powerplay) ..

The winners will be posted Friday Night ..

Good Luck to all !!!!

Glen Murray will be standing in the right place at the right time and get credit for the goal after one-timing it in from the slot on a play where Marc Savard schools the defense.

My pick is... on the PK, Donovan scores a breakaway goal off a blocked point shot. (going for style points)

A Mara shot from the blueline will deflect off a Panther player and into the net. You heard it here first, Paul Mara will score the first goal of the season............

unless dealt Murray will be our big scorer this year... and the first of 40+ will open our year.

personally, i would expect he prob will get dealt... but will score 40+ anyhow. The guy can score whatever else we think of his committment to winning with the team

I'm gonna choose Gill scoring on Raycroft before the Bruins get a chance to touch the ice!

But actually I'm gonna pick Bergeron.

If Eddie's in nets for the Panthers on opening night, I wouldn't be surprised to see it after a giveaway behind his net... He was always good for a couple of those a season when in TO!

I'd love to see one of the "new guys" get it though to start the season off on a new foot.
