Joe Sakic now the new EA Sports NHL 2004 cover ???

Go to the site and click on all the games and you will see their cover athletes are pictured on their web pages for the games. Now go to hockey and Sakic is there. I am in school and one of the guys noticed me looking at the page and brought up that he read an article last week saying EA is releasing new boxes with Sakic on the cover due to the accident with Heatley. Anyone hear anything like this?

Yup, that is the deal. Sakic has replaced Heatley much in the same way that Heatley replaced Thornton. As an Atlanta fan I'm glad I got one with the Heatley cover before the change over, but I find it really hard to play the game with both Heatley and Snyder on the ice. It just doesn't feel right.

I'd consider the Sakic version rarer actually considering that most sports game sales are in the first month of availability.
