well, that's pretty much what I was expecting with our goaltending. From cup contender one game to non-playoff team the next game. Bad goals will do that to a team. It sucks everything out of the players knowing they have shaky goaltending back there.
2nd half of a back to back, even though travel isnt a factor...
tough game for Eddie but the guys in front didnt help too much on some of those goals
Let's not start with the excuses now...these guys are professional hockey players and should be used to and ready for back-to-back games at this level and at this point in their careers.

No, they had shaky goaltending tonight from Belfour...that doesn't mean it'll be that way every game from here on out. 80 games left afterall. Stubborn coach with GM powers as well on the other hand...

it's not his career that I care about. He was awful last year and he has not shown anything so far to make it seem as if he can bounce back for us this year.
3 bad seasons? He never had a losing record in either of those seasons and his individual stats weren't embarrassing overall compared to the other 29 starting goaltenders. Less than stellar sure, but bad? Come on now.
look, we really played pretty crappy defensively last night. tonight, you're seeing a) a team finish and b) some weak goaltending. we look terribly disorganized getting out of our own zone. bryan allen, in particular has looked awful with the puck.
i was also disappointed to learn that belfour asked management to allow him to start against toronto. for one, the fact that this is coming out is alarming in and of itself. <aside>last night on TSN during an intermission break, there was talk of a problem in the panthers locker room ALREADY</aside>. starting belfour against toronto is a no brainer. auld should have been able to handle the back to backs to start the season. disappointing.
