Pivko recalled

Ok, I'll admit that I didn't see this one coming. Is someone being sent down or placed on IR?

NASHVILLE PREDATORS RECALL FORWARD LIBOR PIVKO FROM MILWAUKEE (AHL)

Nashville, Tenn. (November 21, 2003) - Nashville Predators Executive Vice President/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has recalled forward Libor Pivko (LEE-bohr PEEV-koh) from the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League.

Pivko, 23 (3/29/80), has posted three goals, four assists (3g-4a-7pts) and a +5 rating in 13 games with Milwaukee this season. Originally selected by Nashville in the third round (89th overall) of the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, the Novy Vicin, Czech Rep. native signed his first NHL contract on June 25, 2003.

The 6-2, 206-pound left winger has played parts of the last five seasons in the Czech Republic Extraleague. Last season, Pivko tied for second on Zlin in goals (13) and tied for fourth in points (13g-12a-25pts) in 52 games.

Pivko will look to make his NHL debut tonight at 9:30 p.m. CT when the Predators (7-9-1-0) meet the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim (7-7-2-4) at the Arrowhead Pond. The contest will be televised on Fox Sports Net and broadcast on Supertalk 99.7 WTN-FM.

Maybe Fiddler's being sent back down? Or did someone else get injured in the L.A. game? Hope it's not Hartnell.

Nice call...I was trying to figure out where Pivko fit in.

Pivko, Fiddler, Tootoo?

Pivko, Arkhipov, Erat?

Pivko = scratch?

I'd bet on Pivko = Scratch!!! Seems to be what we do when we call a guy up.

Looks like we are just adding size for tonights game. I expect him to be playing along side Fiddler and Mckenzie. Personally, I thought Fiddler looked great against the Kings. He was creating scoring chances, but had no one on his line to *not that any of our lines have a finisher * help him. Maybe they hope Pivko can fill that need...or maybe its a wakeup call for somone...

I agree about Fiddler. He has looked good. Much more than I expected to see. He just has no one on his line.

Nah. If anything, I would keep Hartnell - Legwand - Hall as a line tonight. They have been flying.

Only person flying was Hartnell

And he's not a good pilot because he ran into a wall.

I wonder if Pivko was recalled because Walks is NOT able to go yet, and we need that type of player, not a pure skills guy, a utility guy...
