when your not clicking it's aways time to go back to basics. SHOOT THE PUCK. So why are they not just shooting the puck now on that line????

I win bet anyone that thats exactly what Carbo is telling them right now.

Komisarek's really had an amazing game thus far. Markov's looking a whole lot sharper too, that penalty notwithstanding.

In fact, Souray is looking a lot better as well. One particular play that jumped out at me was Sanderson came at Souray with a full head of speed, went wide, and rather than be intimidated by Sanderson's speed, Souray lept forward and poke-checked the puck neatly off of Sanderson's stick. Perfect.

I've also found the fourth-line far stronger tonight. I don't think it has as much to do with the Murray-Downey change as it is that Latendresse is playing well. One problem this line had been having is that Begin and Murray wanted to go in and forecheck hard, utilizing their speed and physicality, but then they realized that the last man back is a rookie. So they'd sort of half-heartedly forecheck, and give easy-access to the opposition to come through the neutral zone ... all the while, Latendresse was still the last man back, and just trying to follow the play, nevermind figure out the proper way to react and anticipate.

With Latendresse anticipating and working well in the neutral zone (cutting off passing lanes), Begin and Downey are free to roam around and pressure the Flyers D a whole lot more.

There is some habs fan who can be patient and not screamin' like a little girls about a guy who didnt score in the first? He still get 2pts in 2 games...

C-A-L-M D-O-W-N...

Bt Samsonov have 1 good shot on the keeper. He play well.
It's all about the right mix, nobody's questioning the talent of those players but if they "gel" well together.

Hitchcock tried the Richards-Carter-Calder trio for 3 games and since it wasn't that great, they're not playing together anymore.....only after 3 games....so not only in Montreal.....Kovalev had his 2 points on the PP, has nothing to do with how those 3 are playing together.....

He was diving for the puck. It was just in front of him.

-Carter is flying out there, nothing happens but he skates well. Didn't know he was skating so well......ok enough with the enemy.....

-Latendresse looks better, nice defensive plays, good deflection for a pass, his greatest bodycheck was on the boards, but I believe that he was aiming at the guy, and the guy turned around offering his back, Lats didn't want to be out and crushed the board instead.

-Aebi is good, doing his job, looks better positionnally.

-First goal of Komisarek in this season will happen when he leaves his position and go towards the net....Just love how he thinks about doing that though...

-Markov worries me a little......just a little...

-Both Plekanec's and Calder's calls were so weak....it will never stop.....
I thought Markov played his best period so far. His penalty was very very weak... He had the shaft of his stick on Calders ribs from what I could tell...

Plekanec's starting to dive a little too much. It's going to wind up biting him back, just as it has Roy.

I agree he was back to owning the puck in the Canadiens zone! I can not believe how many one on one battles that guy wins behind the net!

Hey I'm recording this game on my computer...I'll make a nice little video. There is not doubt he was diving for the puck.

In Pleks defence the puck was out of his reach he dove and passed it back to another Habs player. Was it really worth a penalty to put Philly 5on3?

When you dive for a puck you put some strengh like a jump i did'nt see Plek do that. I think the Flyers player deserved one for sure as he clearly hooked, not sure if I would have call Plek too.

I'm not even questioning that 'cause it wasn't his fault, he was against 2 or 3 guys and nobody helped him. I don't know, I just find him hesitant, but I might have misread some plays.....

2ND PERIOD ON THE WAY!!!

You should rewatch the replay, he tried to pass it to the habs players behind him but it was intercepted by a flyers... he let himself fall down but it was in clear intention to attempt a pass. Ridiculous penalty.

Doesn't matter much. Plekanec's been diving, so if it's iffy, he'll get called.
