Maritime players

There's a couple of good players coming from the maritimes, its quite new. The first one was MacInnis and now theres Richards, Crosby, Bourdon (he's my sister's friend) and the Ryders... there's also a couple more coming

Not to nitpick, but technically Newfoundland isn't part of the maritimes, so the Ryder brothers wouldn't count. Change it to Atlantic Canada, and now we're talking.

Where did Sean Avery live in the maritimes? Says he was born in Ontario and played in the OHL.

Anyways, you guys should watch out for Ben Duffy. He's the second 14 year old to play Nova Scotia Midget Major, the first one was Crosby. He's got 16 points in 6 games so far. If you want to stay up to date with him, he's his profile and stats http://www.nsmmhl.com/player_profile...8&team_id=2337

He was born in ONT but grew up in Dartmouth played minor hockey there.

Are you all forgetting a former Hab that was a huge part of the team in the 80's that won the cup in 86 and went to the final in 89?....

I don't know if it's true or not but I heard Olaf Kolzig played some hockey in the Halifax area growing up, I think midget AAA for Dartmouth if i remember correctly.

I just recently moved from Nova Scotia, Kingston / Greenwood area.... and glenn murray is huuuge in bridgewater...same with shelly!! ohh and crosby of course.. i played agianst him in aaa ... he was 3 yrs younger than all of us..and tore it up!!!
brad richards at age 16 was part of the pei hockey school... guy thought me how to stop on my left side haha

really? i went to a hockey summer school with bourdon 5 years ago in moncton. with the fact we were only a few francophones, we've been good friends for two weeks. i'll try to contact him this season via nucks official website

His girlfriend since like 2 years is one of my sister's best friends in university so she met him a couple times and he was supposed to comme here this summer but he left to the Nuck's camp

Adrian Aucoin is from Ottawa, but spent lots of childhood in Cheticamp Cape Breton. His parents were from the area.
