Quebec PQ should have an Olympic team

The province of Quebec should have it's own Olympic and world cup team at hockey because Ireland Scottland have their own Olympic and world cup soccer teams. What do you guys think? A Quebec team would be competitive enough, it could even win gold, and it would be very fun and entertaining to watch those Canada vs. Quebec matches ! If someone comes with a respectable line-up, I'm sure it would prove itself to be a good line-up.

What do I think? I think you should have started this thread elsewhere, because as usual it's going to become (unfortunately) a flamefest in no time, and will end locked.

I cant read you post since you are on my ignore list. But have you even checked the D this team would have?? Might have had a good team many years ago...but a quebec team would have big holes.

Maybe if canadian would recognize that Quebec is a distinct society inside Canada we could have more civilized discussion.

- I am separatist
- It could be quite a sight even if we would have no D whatsoever
- It's not the place to talk about this... The Lounge or Internationnal Hockey is, though.

Exactly the kind of irrelevant post expected in a topic like this...

I would say that seperatists in general are equally irrelevant.

edit: I will not post again in this topic. Over the years here people know how I feel about this.

Why? These threads are never given a chance. Maybe it'll go 14 pages and I'll be enlightened.

Gagne - Briere - St. Louis
Tanguay - Lecavalier - Bernier
Gelinas - Riberio - Dumont
Begin - Laperriere - Lapointe

Gauthier - Beauchemin
Dandenault - Brisebois
Robidas - P. Boucher

Brodeur
Luongo

Defense is terrible but we have a buttload of goalies to pick from.

I agree that it is a hockey forum and that we should keep that outta here..

Tu remarqueras que je suis toujours dans ces débats là, mais que c'est jamais moi qui les commencent. Je veux pas en parler ici, mais yé pas non plus question que je ferme ma gueule quand la cause légitime de ma patrie est remise en question.

Thats it.

Childish...

It gonna be a democratic secession and Canada have nothing to say about it. Quebec is an entity in his own right since l'Acte de Québec of 1774 and way before Canada even exists.

Shut up and let democracy speak for itself.

That's assuming those guys would rather play for quebec than for Canada...

Could we also get a Montreal Olympic Hockey team?

To keep on the original subject.

I build that team on NHL2007 and while we rock on offense our defense sucks balls.

Where's Raymond Bourque when you need him?

That would be a very fast team though. I would be curious to see how it does on International Ice.

What good would it bring to separate?

We would lose all credibility, we would be viewed as Canada's reject. What money would we use? I guess we wouldn't be able to use canadian money. What would be Quebec money's worth all around the world?

Seriously, I don't see anything positive except that we could privatize (privatiser) electricity and wood. Oh, and it would satify you and your eternal need of an identity I guess.

How about articles 5 & 6 of the BNAA 1867?
