Our Own Version of the Kings "Card Sharks Game"

Last night's official paid attendance (you can be sure it was about 2500 lower than this number): 14,394.

14,394 (*no more than 12,000 in the actual seats) on a Tuesday night against an Eastern Division weaker sister.

So...

Thursday night... against a Western Division competitor.

Higher? or Lower?

(maybe we can keep this thread going throughout the whole season, and the person who guesses right most often can win dinner at Panda Express )

Higher. All the fans were busy building Anze Kopitar idols so they can worship him throughout the week. They should be done by Thursday.

I'll go higher, Jim. The Islanders are a 3, the odds are with me.

12,000 is GENEROUS. I was thinking more along the 10,000 range.

Thursday with baseball playoffs... hmm. It'll be a bit higher, but not much - mainly because there are more than 5 Dallas fans that'll show up.

If Lorelei Cinco sings the NA, then it will be higher. If Mandy Porko sings, it will be lower

16,116 - no whammys.

And 1,000 less than that when the two teams play again on Saturday.

Wow, THAT is gutsy... to say that a Thursday will outdraw a Saturday. I respectfully disagree.

I guess I'm looking at it like when the Chili Peppers play the Forum for two nights in a row. First night is packed and a great show. 2nd night are the slow pokes and soccer moms who bring their kiddies to a rock show... Less people, less energy.

I could very well be violently wrong. Although Flea kinda looks like Brenda Morrow...

In any event - back to backs vs Dallas *blows*

15,250. Attendence is always down until after Thanksgiving when the weather "changes" and it becomes "winter" here in LA.

Some girl told me in Mammoth this past weekend that I looked like Flea...does this mean I look like like Brendan Morrow as well?!?! Yikes!
I suppose it IS better than looking like Kelly Buchberger however....

I'll go with way higher for Saturday. At least 2,000 more.

SAT: 17,052

MON: 17,417 (Kings Care Foundation gave out 250 freebies... and they still couldn't sell out against Detroit... tsk tsk.)

I suppose most will have to say LOWER for Wed against MINN.

The game will resume when we determine, if, after probable losses to MIN (home) and PHX (road), a 3PM Sunday game against the Ducks will bring out more or less "fans."

And Colorado didn't sellout for the first time in over 400 games.

I think the Kings will be LUCKY to draw 15,000 people on a Wednesday night ("Lost") against a trapping team like Minnesota when the Kings are averaging ONE GOAL per game over the last 3.

I think the upper levels look like going to a Clippers game at the Forum.

14,345 announced -

I'd like to expand this game to the Kings' goal total...

Attendance Wed vs. Min (versus 10/16 Det total of 17,417) = LOWER, 14,867 (an extra couple hundred to see Demitra)

Goal total (versus 10/16 Det total of 1) = HIGHER, but not by much - 2.
