Seeing the start of the season usually gives you an idea of what the rest of the year some players will have ( except Brian Savage )

Who are you glad IS NOT on our team.

Imo Marc Savard, Holly Guacamolee for 5 million bucks I am sure not envious.

on another hand when it comes to Samsonov at 3.5, I guess that Gainey was telling us to wait 40 games to start seeing him blend in, for a reason !

Allison.

As for Samsonov...I would of rather had JP Dumont at 2m

hal gill at 2,some millions seems pretty bad. kubina at 5 a year seems a little over the top; not a bad player but 20 for 4 is ridiculours money! We don't have lo listen to bulis trying to convince us that he belongs on the pp anymore, and that's good.

I'm sad that we missed out on Shanny and had to settle on Samsonov though

Arnott. Can't stand him. Loafer.
Kubina. He looks lost in the new NHL. (tho I wanted him badly on the team)

Lindros is one of the players I regret NOT signing. He's doing very well so far and even if he goes down or whatever he's only at 1.5m...Thing is I doubt he'd play for Montreal.

Sorry, couldn't help myself. That contract deserves another mention, for the comic relief alone.

Never, he's the biggest baby in the league and wait till Dallas plays Calgary. He'll be the first to receive a Quadruple Dion

Happy we didn't sign Poti, Perreault, Dazé, Rucchin, Anson Carter, Sykora (even though he's doing good so far....), Parrish, Witt, Nolan, Roenick, Rucinsky, Guerin, Weight, Gill, Kubina......

To say the least, the best moves are usually the ones you don't make.....

Dagenais...had to be said.

An Allison-Dagenais combo would be hilarious.

He did well at the end of last season, and I thought he could've done some good here. He's a better playmaker and finisher than Sammy...not quite as speedy though. Personally I would've liked him, even if he didn't continue doing this well I'd have projected him around 60-65 pts. The oils are one of my fave teams though so, I'm glad they got him... with Hemsky he should keep this pace up.

Oh and the 1 Trade rumor I wish would've came true : Ryder for Bertuzzi. Though Ryder is doing well, Bertuzzi is undeniably one of the greatest PF in the game, and he's bouncing back as I thought he would. Say with Bertz we'd have;

Higgins - Koivu - Bertuzzi
Perez - Plekanec - Kovalev (seemingly good chemistry between Perez and Pleks)
Kost - Bonk - Johnson
Lats - Begin - Murray

Can't complain about Ryder though, he's doing great so far.

I'd have to say Savard. The guy had 90+ pts only because he was on the same line as Kovalchuk. Definitely not worth $5M. Remember that Bonk had a 71 pt season in Ottawa being on Marian Hossa's line.
