I'll get right on that...

Talk about a dumb thread. Aebischer posts one of the best save% in the league in the last 2 games...give the guy some cred.

Hahaha two games. Brian Boucher may win the Vezina this year too.

Seriously, Huet got us to the playoffs last year, played great Friday, and it's the hope opener.

Carbo, start Huet.

Didn't we use Aebby play and win the last few games against the Sens last season?

Not enough games this week to sit Huet saturday and have him cold for the games next week. He needs the start and will be pumped up after Aebi's great performances. I see it as a win-win situation anyway.

Aebischer has a 95.45 save % so far, you have to go with him because he deserves it

and then give Huet one of the two back to back games (calgary or chicago) and then Aebi vs Avs (because it's his old team unless of course he starts playing very very bad)

...Theodore got us to the playoffs before and then some pple still booed him last season. Then use the same logic ..new season ..two number 1's ...
fight for the spot

No need to reflect on the past. It's in the teams best interest to play the goalie with the hot hand...Right now that's Abby.

Are you kidding me? Buffalo is a favourite to win the cup. Are the Leafs? are the Flyers? Not taking anything away from Abby who was spectacular in both games Huet is our go to guy and he's going to get the start 100%.

Lol, I love the fact that people are so sure that Huet will start. Carbs will surprise you all. As he said prior to this game "Aebischer deserved another start". A first star will deserve him another start.

Huet will get it only because it s the home opener and it is showing a little thanx for last season.
After the 1st game opener, it s to whoever is hot.

Abby SHOULD be in netsl. He is 2-0 and hot. Yes Huet got us in the playoffs last year, what does that mean this year? nothing, it means it's time to start over and so far Abby is the man. Untill he goes cold, I dont see a reason to remove him.

So Aebischer would have won it against Buffalo? Hah! I'll believe it when I see it.

Did Huet play that bad of a game to not deserve another chance? We're 3 games into the season and like typical Habs fans we try and stir things around to create something bigger then what it really is. Huet was our saviour for the 2nd half of the season and you think this is how Carbo is going to treat the guy? By giving the home opener to Abby?

Common put some more thought into things.

get last season out of your head. it's a new season, it's a clean sheet. the HOT goalie is Abby. Abby will play.

lol and i d put 200 for Huet,
I believe that the 1st game at home is always something special.
Huet s the crowd favourite, I believe that Huet will need a shutout if he wants the next start again, otherwise it s already Aebis
Another good thing is you don t need to wait for Aebi to get a bad game, and Huet won t get cold, 11 day without playing after playing 1 game isn t good.
