Forsberg Top 10

On TSN in Canada, their Top 10 for the evening was the top 10 Peter Forsberg moments. I hope they post it on the website or that someone grabbed it and can youtube it. It was quite the hilight package.

One of his games in the florida-series is legendary. But if i have to pick one moment id go with the goal against Finland in WC 96.

He´s easily the most abused player in the last decade, and still people claim he´s all about diving. When you get slashed, hooked, held, hit and physically molested over and over again and still don´t get a penalty due to the balance and strenght that makes him NOT fall, ofcourse he wont fight as much to stay on his feet.

He´s been the best player in the last 10 years according to me, not only in the NHL but also on the nationalscene, and he deserves some damn respect.

I kinda hate to admit it, but he's simply a great player. Prolly the best stickhandler out there right now... To me the best swedish player ever in terms of skill.

See that one-handed pass at around 35 secs? That was sick.

The top 10 was great, and Forsberg is probably the best today when healthy, but not even close to the best in the last 10 years. Lemieux takes that crown.

Dude. If we were talking careers then you'd be right, but the last ten years, 1996-2006, Lemieux wasn't better than Forsberg (imo). Lemieux only played 246 regular season games and 23 playoff games the last ten years of his career. Sure he had decent PPG numbers but still.

96-97 to 06-07
Lemieux
Regular season:
Games 246 Goals 127 Assists 224 Points 351
Playoffs:
Games 23 Goals 9 Assists 14 Points 23
0
Stanley Cups
1 Art Ross Trophy (1996-97)

Forsberg
Regular season
Games 516 Goals 192 Assists 464 Points 656
PlayoffsGames 111 Goals 49 Assists 86 Points 135
1
Stanley Cup
1 Art Ross Trophy
1 Hart Trophy

He has some nice hits...and he used to lead the NHL in takeaways.

"But in the Olympics..."
