Could be a tough series since Mankato is right at home in St. Cloud's barn (7-1-1 in recent history). BUT I'm thinking St. Cloud is going to get past their playoff curse this year.

I'm hoping you are right, but I am unsure of how this team is going to perform when the stakes are higher. Hopefully this past disappointing weekend will be a big wakeup call to them. Even though Dunn was shelled Saturday night, he has been the much more stable of the Husky goaltender tandem this season. Stick with DD from here on out and I think we have a legit shot to be players in the tourney. WCHA and beyond.

SCSU has played host to a first-round series nine times and has failed to advance to the Final Five once. The Huskies were swept by North Dakota in 1995.
Mankato has never won a road playoff series and is 3-18 all-time away from home in the first round.

Odd ass series, now going to a game 3. Each team has their first win when trailing after two and both teams have blown 2 goal 3rd period leads.

Lasch is now 1 point from tying the scoring record and he has tied the assist record. He will also be the all-time leader in games played (baring injury) as we will play at least 3 more games and he's 2 behind that record. Gonna miss that kid next year.

I was pulling for SCSU to lose.

Now i want them to win it all. Keep it in theWCHA and in MN. I liked Motzko here. my other options are Bucky and NoDak.

Good feeling, great to get it done but it's just one game. 3 more to go, well 1 more to start. A 6th time against Bucky? I'm ok with that. Lee has been amazing in the playoffs. Very happy for the seniors and very proud of this team.

Disappointing way to end the year. Lasch and Raboin will be missed for sure but if everyone comes back, we could be even stronger next year despite those losses with all the firepower we will return.
