Huskies get a commit from a 17-year old d-man out of Illinois. Jarrod Rabey, will be playing for Indiana (USHL) this year. Big kid, 6'1" 245 and doesn't lack any confidence from his quotes.

Should be close to healthy this weekend as Christian comes back fomr a sprained ankle. Marvin didn't finish practice yesterday and is still recovering from an injury suffered from a blacked shot in the exhibition. He seems ok one game, not able to go the next. Maybe a swelling issue?
Hopefully the boys are more focused after some serious lapses against Clarkson. Looked real good against RIT and really bad against Clarkson.
Dunn also needs to pick it up if he wasn't to stay 1b and not a 2.

Should be a good one against Miami this weekend. I'm sure Motzko and Rico gave their teams an earful after the Saturday losses they had.

Wish the earful would have taken effect on Friday. Another poor effort on all sides for the Huskies. Motzko called some seniors into the office on Saturday and a much better Saturday efffort results in the tie. I would have preferred at least one win obviously but they fought hard for the tie, it's a little momentum and now we can focus on the rodents.

I think this would have been a better series a few weeks into the season since SCSU is usually somewhat of a slow starter. I think your guys will get another crack at them in Florida this year if everything goes well.

That what I think too. Consistency with us is going to be the key. We have talent, can we play consistently every night. If we do, we can beat anyone.

60 minutes worth of effort, until they start doing that, they won't win. They need to learn they aren't good enough to go through the motions and win a game. Last night was embarrassing.

I know the huskies start slow but I wasn't expecting this kind of start. What do you think the problem is?

Like I said, effort. They aren't coming to work. When they show up to work, we're 2-1-1, when they don't 0-3.

Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard.

Actually I first heard that from Jordan Parise after Holy Cross beat the goofers. It is now my trademark saying for my girls high school hockey team as my team lacks depth at talent so hard work is the only way we are going to have a chance.

Bret Hedican becomes the first Husky to have his number retired. #24 to the rafters.
