The SIOUX tie up the Huskies tonite at 3 and secure home ice for the first round.More SIOUX hockey at the RALPH.woohooo.
Bummer for Bucky, if UW could've picked up at least 2 in Houghton last weekend, sheesh. Meh, it was an outside shot at best. So long as the Gophers don't fold for Tech the Badgers will have CC, the Sioux won't have to worry about the UW D or Elliott.
How does the tie breaker work should UW sweep UMD tonight and CC lose at home vs. Denver? Is it head-to-head based on CCs sweep of the lone series w/UW a few weeks ago?
Congrats Huskys. This weekends your chance to try to keep one big obstacle out of the tournament if you manage to sweep UND.
Although the St Cloud team likely took this sentiment to heart moreso than its fans...this last weekends series may reward SCSU with UND in its NCAA bracket.

I don't think reward is the right word as the SIOUX are on a roll again at the right time of year.Of course I'm sure you were being sarcastic.
I know you're out there somewhere celebrating and walking on cloud nine right about now, but just wanted to say congrats on a heckuva game that your boys played and good luck against the Sioux on Friday. It should be another great game and I'm certainly looking forward to it.

That was unreal. Wish I could have been there but I had to work tonight. Glad the game ended before I had to leave though.
That ended up being the 5th longest game in NCAA history and SCSU School records were set in Shots, shots against and saves.
Goepfert made 67 freaking saves tonight. (with dyed-red hair no less)
I'd have been at the Final Five anyway but it's nice my boys are going
The man is on a mission right now. He saved our bacon many times tonight. I'm gonna miss him next year.
What happened to Goepfert and your boys today Rabid?I'll tell ya they ran into a frieght train on a mission. If there is a better team than the SIOUX in the country tell me who it is because the SIOUX are peaking at the right time.
Captains for SCSU have been named.
Matt Stephenson with the C
Nate Dey with the A.
Captain's practice has begun.

Status of recruit Luca Cunti is still uncertain so I'm not expecting to see him this weekend.
Hopefully I'll be able to post the lines tomorrow.
First article of the season from beat writer Kevin Allenspach on Nodl and Lasch
Good win last nigh 7-0.
Team was a little rusty but that's to be expected.
Big contributions from the new guys as Mosey and Roe each had 3 point games.
So did senior Matt Hartman and that's needed as he's one senior who needs to step up.
O'brien expected to start game 2 tonight. Probably Bryce Luker in net for Canisius
Not a good game for SCSU tonight.
Dominated the first, lead 2-0
2nd was about even 3-1
Lost Focus in the 3rd. Game ends a 3-3 tie.
O'Brien did not make a good case for being the back-up ,as he let in 3 goals on 13 shots and one was from 60 feet and soft.
SCSU learned tonight you've got to play 60 minutes. Mosey looked good though, had another goal, Lasch picks up 2 more assists and has 4 in 2 games.
Next up @ UMD. Always wars with the Dogs.
Just wanted to pop in and mention a couple of SCSU recruits that are currently playing for the Lincoln Stars (USHL).
Jared Festler
Tyler Kieffer
I'm a huge Lincoln Stars fan, and season ticket holder....so if you ever want a quick progress report on any of these players, just drop me a quick PM...and I'll get back to you. Thanks.
Huskies win a tough won against the beav 2-1.One thing I've learned when the SIOUX have played the beav and that is they work hard the entire game no matter what the score is.
Huskies came to work tonight and whaddya know, it paid off. Huskies win 6-1, Roe with a monster night, 2G 2A. Dunn makes 35 saves for his first career win.
Huskies go 4-8 on the Power Play. All around good night, could have been better 5 on 5 but that's just nit-picking.
Hopefully this wakes up the boys, UAA next week. If UAA wants to break that 0-fer streak at the NHC, this is probably the year.
SCSU gets the U-18 team tonight, only 3 guys aren't dressed, 3 of the 4 captains, Dey, Stephenson, and Raboin.
All 3 goalies dressed but O'Brien probably will play the whole game.
Motzko is coaching this from the press box too, or rather watching it leaving one of the assistants in charge.
Guess there are over 2 dozen scouts there too
I need Nate Dey to have a big weekend.I have him on my fantasy team this time around.
Goal and an assist last night for ya.
They are starting to gel, and are starting to show flashes of brilliance.
If they can get their passing fixed and if Nodl stops hogging the puck a little bit, this team is going to be scary.
