Great Article On Chris Higgins

I especially liked Chris' comments about his dad: "My dad was a fanatical Canadiens fan. He can tell you all the rosters and leading scorers going back to the seventies"

This is refreshing , this guy is probably the next Habs Captain

"The goal here every year is to win the Stanley Cup. When you play in Montreal, the fans expect to win and everyone player on this team should expect to win the Stanley Cup every year! Don't even bother to come out if you do not feel you can win the Cup!"

Higgins not only understands the pressure associated but feels honoured and privileged to wear the CH on his chest.
My favorite part of the article. Its so great to have a guy like higgins on are team. Dont know how he fell to the habs. He really has everything you want in a hockey player.

Future Captain, no doubt. Doesn't hurt that he's learning from the best.

I will tell you. I remember, I watched the draft where they drafted him, and clearly remembers Yvon Pedenault, quoting an anonymous scout that said of him : Perfect player to have on a team, but he's labelled "AHL'er".

So that's why he fell that low. I hope the said scout have no job, cause honestly, the team paying him could be in trouble right now.

That's one scout's opinion.

I remember reading a write up on Higgy prior to the draft that say he dropped on some scouts lists because he didn't really excel in any one area, but then it went on to say he wasn't weak in any area as well. I also recall someone calling him a poor man's Scottie Upshall.

I think Higgy fell to the habs because he didn't stand out in any one area like some other prospects might of. We all know Andre Savard was a fan of his mind you (trading up one spot with Edmonton, just to make sure we got him.

Probably just Timmins trying to make Chris seem like more of a steal, lol.

Grear article!

Higgins is quickly growing into our best foward , showing up every night and every shift.

They got the Zednik part wrong trough.

The Habs instantly became better when Gainey/Carbo played him...

We're so lucky one of our scouts decided to draft him and also that he was late in being drafted. Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehah!!!!!!!!!!

2-3 years ago I predicted that either Komisarek, Higgins, or Chipchura will be a future captain of the Habs...it just might be Higgins, but...let's give Chipchura a chance, too!! (Komi will be a strong candidate in another year or two, you just wait and see!!).

The present and the future looks bright for the Habs, thanks to Higgins, Komi, Chip, Price, Latendresse, Perezhogin, Kostitsyn, etc...!!

great article, Higgins is our power forward! and Ryder is kicking butt this year!! his back must have really hurt last season. cause he is flying out there and hitting, finishing his checks.

Higgins is just great though he is a perfect player, Good 2 way player, can score can pass, can Hit ,can get the puck in the corner and is a leader.
