They'll likely start Gerber which means we have to capitalize. We need to outhit and outskate them just like in the opener.

Gerber has been outplaying Jiggy of late. That might not work to our favor.

We need to win. Period.

Pivko is scratched

JSG is in net.

I really don't see the purpose of scratching him unless we brought him up just in case Erat couldn't go.

Both teams look sharp so far. First mistake might be the the first goal.

Stupid penalty by Timonen costs Nashville a goal.

Vokie needs to be pulled. Not only did he not see the puck, he saw a different puck and attempted to make a save on it. Krog put it into the net Vokoun had vacated. Why Trotz started him tonight baffles me. Here's what will happen, Vokoun will start and lose tonight and then Mason will start and lose tomorrow. Why not try to put our best foot forward and atleast get 2 points out of this 4 game swing?

Two pathetic PP's (is it just me or do we only have success against very passive PK's?) and blown chances. Greg Johnson has to convert on that. We've had as many chances as them but we find ways to hit flailing goaltenders or miss the net altogether.

The ice looks like it sucks. Unfortunately, it's only effecting one team.

Possibly the worst PP I've seen thus far...in my life. Look flat, look bad, whatever, look like the team I saw much of last year, and at times this year. I was just hoping that this streaky team wouldn't continue this sucky play, its only the end of the first, but if we don't step it up, we're gonna continue to suck.

1-1 .. Kimmo scores on wrister from the point. Pretty decent traffic in front. Still keep the PP for 30 seconds.

Didn't take long for the ducks to take the lead. Pahlsson scores from the point, nobody took him, beat Koun high stick side.

Tootoo draws penalty...they are begging for us to get back in it, just so they can score on us again.

Soft call on Simpson there. Look for a makeup call soon.

They are outhitting us and Vokoun needs to be sat. The Pahlsson goal wasn't his fault but he just looks pathetic out there. Like he's Chechmanek. He's standing up, getting caught flat footed and making stupid puck decisions.

As true as it is that the defense is revamped with new faces and better players, itís not fair to expect the new guys to play like NHL proven defensemen on every single night, itís a learning experience every night. Thatís the Predators problem, Vokoun's let in some soft ones no doubt though.

The makeup call was a makeup no call. Hartnell had a clean break and was hooked into no shot by Sykora.

Sadly, they are outhitting us.

They are the better team right now. They have more jump and are playing more physical.

God #*@*, our failure to clear is pathetic. We hit out own players on our clears.

I reiterate, why is Hamhuis on the PK? He is so weak on the puck it's pathetic.

Rucchin makes it 3-2. Koun makes the save, gives up the rebound, Rucchin is left all alone to put it in with Koun layin' on the ice.

Edit: Smokey: We need to tell Johnson and Murray to take a hike on the PK. They are way to passive. Orszagh, Fiddler, Pivko, and Hartnell will do just fine. I'm sick of giving bad pointmen the respect we give Gods.

LOL, sorry basher, I accidentally pressed Edit on your post instead of reply. Lo siento.

Yeah, suck in more ways than one.

If we don't win atleast one of these games, I'm for firing Trotz. We are getting outhit by these guys. How many games are we going to play without fire? This is a team full of physical players and no one is physical. He just can't coach this team on the road.

No problemo, senor Smokey. They can also take a hike on the PP...not the type of players that would consistently suceed in that kind of situation.
