the plan was made earlier in the week to start Hackett against his former team.
I have no problem with it, both goalies have been playing very well lately

Should be a great matchup! All the games last season, between the 2, went to OT.
No reason to think this one won't also.

Watch these 2 rookie Bruins: Bergeron & Raycroft.
Raycroft is a great up and coming goalie, and should get the nod in net tonite.

I might not be watching this game,so I'll make up a score.

Flyers-3(Gagné,Amonte,Recchi)
Bruins-1(Thornton or Axelsson)

Hackett hasn't impressed me and I think Esche should be getting the nod in net at this point in time. I know Hackett has been playing good but Esche has been playing against the better teams and I see no reason why this should stop. Of course it is Hackett's former team for like what a couple monthes. We play them 4-5 times this year we should let him play them another time and let Esche play them when they are hot and #1 in the conference. IMO we would of a much better chance at winning this game with Esche is net plus im going tonight and wanted to see him play. But still they are both doing good but I am have been disappointed with Hackett getting to play more games as of late because Esche was really hot and now he has to sit.

Great game for the Flyers, keeping the Bruins to only 13 shots and only 2 in the whole third period! At the moment we are leading the league in the standings.

They were giving me a scare there, this was the second game I saw them play, the other one was the NJ which started pretty much the exact same way, glad we were the ones who put the third goal.

Great win!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Those NESN announcer suck bigtime, such damn homers. Almost put up with the 10 second delay and listen to WIP.

I am embarassed to say I thought Recchi was washed up late last season. He just seems to find the right place to be and has a lot of jump these days. All in all a good win. I didn't know the Bs had so many good centers. Still- I won't be happy until we win a playoff round against the Devils. And that's a LONG ways away. Go BIRDS

I'm beginning to think that we're almost unbeatable... apart from that atrocious LA game, we had a chance to win every night. That is 1 game out of 19. I'll take that any day of the week. If we continue at this pace we are looking like a shoe in for the President's trophy and a deep run in the playoffs.

That sounds wonderful but... the season is so young. Seems like the Flyers always go into a late season swoon where they're winless for 8-10 games and break our hearts. I do think they are the best team in the the east or west so far. Figures it would be Rolston (ex-Devil) to almost ruin it. I swear 50 years from now they could dig up Chris Terreri's bones, lay them in the crease and he'd stop EVERYTHING.

was Pitkanen on the ice for the 2nd Bruins goal? because he ended the night even. which is wierd because espn and yahoo both had him with 1 assist and being an even aftger the first period. just wondering if anyone else noticed that.

Nice win! This was a measuring stick against a very good Bruin's team.
Aside from the 1st 2 min of the 2nd period, we dominated and shut down a very good offensive team.
Special teams wins another game for us.
