RDS commentators calling it a test of character. I agree. Habs battled back and won a game they would have collapsed last year.

Hawks next. Good thing they are not an uber team. The Habs will be tired tonight... but they have 2 points.

Hawks have been pretty good this year and Havlat has been great so far. He's leading the NHL with 12 points in five games. Boy, did Ottawa ever get robbed on that trade.

A great game tonight. This was one we could've lost but didn't. We found a way to win. Huet stood tall when we needed him too. Great character, good toughness on this team. Or like Pierre McGuire said about the Habs against the Flyers, "THis Habs team has moxie."

That was an excellent game. It had everything: hits, saves, goals and back-and-forth action. There's still lots to improve on, but it's the big names who need to do it: Samsonov and Markov need to play hard, Souray needs to cut down on the penalties, and Kovalev needs to do what he did in the second half of the game for 60 minutes instead of 30. The way I figure it, the role-players and stalwarts are right on track, and as soon as a few of the names I mentioned get it going, we'll be sitting pretty.

One last thing: I don't want any "OMG FALMES SUX LOL GO HABS~!!!!!11" posts in the Flames board tonight, like we had on Saturday night. If we have that, then deletions and warnings - and possibly points - will ensue.

Good day.

lol @ bonk diving on the puck at the end, he looked like a bum on the street jumping on a half-eaten muffin in a garbage can.

Really good game, glad to see the penalty situation smoothed out in the last two periods. Huet was good instead of great) but hopefully getting his first win will be a big boost to his confidence. So many great efforts from our team today, only ones who didn't impress me were Markov and I guess the two benchriders Sammy and Lats (since they hardly played in the third). But Ryder with this newfound speed - sweet Christ! Deadly first line.

Up next...the Chicago Havlats.

Streit

Streit was impressive tonight especially for not playing in a few weeks. He's a solid Top 6 Dman.

As silly as it sounds...that is definitely a good thing..that means he's hungry for wins (no pun intended)...Not to sound overly optimistic, but I really really lik what I see in this group of players....theres something on the ice that hasnt been there in the past couple of season...and thats drive

I'm hoping he means it is unnecessary for people to troll on others' boards.

What a game, end to end. What a treat to watch. Other than a million penalties. Our Pk is sick

I love the way we play, we have a tough team. we have a fast team. we have a talented team. And with Kovalevs sick plays, Sourays Booming goal producing slap shot. we can play in any high energy game. Im really excited about our team.

Lovin Ninimmaa still not sure how to spell his friggin name though

To the Cup we go

WOW we can play any type of game.

my top 5 habs of the game

Kovalev
Souray
Pleks
Lats
Bonk
damn they all played great

Johnson and Bonk have really meshsed well. Two great passes to Bonkers from Johnson tonight. WHY did Phoenix give this guy up? Great defensively, strong along the boards even if he isn't very physical and just makes smart plays all over the ice.

And, Bonkers? It looks like his hands are coming back. A great move, a great shot.

I just saw the Kovy goal again on TSN replays. I can watch that goal all night. What a great move. He can really fool people on that fake pass to the D and open up all kinds of ice for him. He played better without samsonov.
