GDT: Minnesota @ Los Angeles 10/18/06

VS.

Game time 9:30 (Man I hate west coast games)
TV:FSN North
Radio: WCCO

In this tough three game road trip we need to win this one against the weakest of the three teams. I am sure Lemaire will have the troops ready.

Wild win 4 - 2 with a goal and two assist from Pavol Demitra in his return to LA.

Lucky, I got to work at 6:30 in the morning.

I see Walz will be out tonight with a hip flexor.

They may be the weakest of the three, but they have plenty of firepower. If we could somehow win 2 out of the next 3 games, I will be ecstatic!

6-4 Wild

Looking forward to seeing some of Kopitar and O'Sully.

As I said to Coyotes fans who have the Kings tomorrow night, Los Angeles isn't off to a good start either.
The Wild have to simply play their game. Manny Fernandez doesn't have to be pressured to notch
another shutout. Just get the win. That is the same team over there that lost two straight home games
to Dallas by the same score (4-1). Marc Crawford has switched goalies between those two games,
so either way, Minnesota needs to be prepared.

My gut feeling is the Wild will win tonight, but how they do is the only serious question that I have.
Bottom line is that there cannot be a letdown in their first loss coming against a team
that is all but officially in rebuilding mode.

Kings will shut down top line, Wild will win 4-1 on a Rolston hatrick(3 assists to PMB).

ya this road trip will be tough even tho i think the wild will come out with the solid effort every night the ducks will find a way to beat them.... as far as tonight game goes i think it will be a 5-2 score for the wild.. gaborik with 4 points for the break out game of the year...

It's very difficult to predict how the Wild will come out in their first road game.

2-2 after regulation feels about right to me.

Do you think Avery will be dumb enough to mess with the Boogieman?

That doesn't mean he won't mess with him...

It just means he'll be doing the turtle.

Wouldn't that fit Avery's job to a T? Drawing penalties and getting under opponents skin is what he does.
If Avery is going to fight anyone- it might be Foy or Veilleux.

Wouldn't be ironic if O'Sullivan got his first NHL goal against the team that drafted and developed him?

This could be O'Sullivans first goal. He tipped it but they might call it a no goal because Willsie might have touched it.

Are you talking about Bob Miller? I thought Willsie touched it too.
