Holy ****.

I guess we'll see Eager (at least) and Picard up with the team in a hurry.

Here we go, kids. I hear an enforcer is on the way, too. Not sure who, but that's the rumor.

No kidding. And aimed at the wrong direction.

Who in the HELL figured Nedved would make a good shutdown centre? That's completely putting a square peg in a round hole. Just doesn't fit. Although he did his best, and played better than I expected him to, it just doesn't fit.

The other thing in the TSN Ice Chips is that Rathje is expected to play against Tampa.

As a non-Flyer fan, I think it's time Clark and Hitcock were both canned. I'm not trolling that's just my opinion.

Hatcher should be waived as well.

Does waiving a player(s) neccessarily mean you are getting rid of them? doesnt another team have to come in in a certain period of time to sign them? fill me in.

With the exception of last night's game,( in which no one played well) I thought Hatcher has been playing very well.

Go into the Ice Chips section - it's one of the top stories.

I just hope they don't do everything to make the team work for now and then revert back to the lazy style of play that they've shown so far. Also, lets hope they actually pick up some improvements, as we still have players that obviously aren't nearly as into as they should be. I thought Nedved was hustling more than most during the first 2 or 3 games, although I was never too big of a fan, I'd say I was semi-impressed/surprised with his play.

I'll be curious to see if anyone picks any of those players up.

Nedved in a Phantoms jersey?

teams have 1 or 2 days to claim them, if no one does. They can be sent to the Phantoms.

Either way, the salary is off the cap amount.

What about Nedved centering Iggy and Tanguay ??? Could work for the Flames.

There's nothing wrong with Hitch. I think Clarke's time is running out. He's not addressing the dire need for goaltending OR speed on defense.

Instead he gives Kesler an offer (for too much). When the Flyers already have what, 8 centermen?

Giving Nolan Baumgartner 1.2mil only to waive him 5 games in?

Bobby knows not what he does.

Waiving Nedved and Dimitkrakos. Yup. Esp. Nedved, who's way overpaid.

Next move for Bobby: Bring back Brashear!

Sure, but I like the moves. Nedved wasn't doing much, Dimitrakos was too inconsistent to be any good, and Baumgartner didn't work hard enough to secure a very attainable spot on the blue line.

They didn't appreciate the jersey, and now they rot in the minors. Message sent.

No, TSN are saying both Rathje and Jonsson will play tomorrow, that's why Baumgartner was sent down.

i don't think Picard will be called up... at defense you have:

Pitkanen, Hatcher, Rathje, Gauthier, Meyer, Jones, and Jonsson.

Jonsson is the only guy that wouldn't have to be waived, so it would seem that Jones is safe as the 7th guy when Jonsson is back.

i would think Eager will take a spot on this roster... hopefully from Kane, that doesn't make any sense once they feel Eager's knee and conditioning are squared away.

Ruzicka to come up and play wing? I wouldn't mind Ruzicka with Richards and Sanderson (i don't like the idea of him with Carter as i think Ruzicka needs to be with a bit more of a passing center, which Carter is not). Potulny is another option, but i'd rather he get a full year of big minutes with the Phantoms, personally.
