Dogs vs Preds 11-21

Already 1-0 Dogs. Gratton is on fire, gets his 23rd point, leads the AHL in scoring. Gratton (Blouin, Balej)

Damphousse in nets. No Archer.

Higgins Plekanec Perezhogin what a wicked 2nd line, Perezhogin's already had a good chance to score. Hopefully they get many more, as Habs.

Yup, great work as usual... I'll also use the occasion to thank you for the goalies update.

Do you think we could have room in Hamilton for any of the goaltenders you mentioned?

Do you mean next year? Fichaud is on his final contract, don't know if they will bring him back or let Damphousse take over with Michaud as backup. To me, Damphousse needs to show more consistency, before I would hand over the starting job next year (which is still a long ways a way).

Halak and Lindberg are only 18, so let them play in the Euro leagues for a few years. Hopefully next year, Halak can make the mens div 1 league. He should have a major part in Team Slovakia's U-20 WJC next year.

Michaud I have been skeptical of since we signed him. His size is a concern, but so is his consistency, especially in the big games. It's tought to say at this point what they will do with our goalie prospects at this point. Puurula is the mystery guy, cause he's lost his starter job, which may cause him to consider coming over next year. (just a guess) I love to see competition, and having Damphousse, Puurula and Michaud fight it out would be fine by me. Loser goes to the ECHL.

2-1 Dogs. Olavstad SH (somv.)

I'm not listening to the game anymore. I'm listening to the PEI Rocket instead. Lapierre has an assist, and Urquhart just scored a SH goal his 17th, through the 5 hole. It's 2-0 in the 3rd, in Maine.

Urquhart scores again! A one timer, after Lambert got the puck to SOucy. Urquhart has 2 goals tonight, now has 18 this season. Urquhart has 41 points so far.

Danny Stewart has 2 assists for Rimouski.

Rocket win 3-0

Dogs in OT 3-3. Balej scored with 20 seconds left to put it into ot. Balej (Dagenais Gratton)

Edit: Dogs win Komo wins it with a wrist shot! A rough night for Komo before the goal (was a -2). Big comeback for the Dogs.

Komo 2(Gratton Higgins)

Gratton with 3 points. He's on fire Higgins had at least 8 shots tonight.

Excellent comeback by the Dogs. They blew a lead but showed character in coming back and Komo wins it in OT.

dan, theahl.com says Perezhogin got the assist on the Komo goal and not Gratton, who is telling the truth?

Gotta like the progress Balej is showing this year.

As for Urquhart, that pick is looking better and better

I'm really high on Balej ..I think he could be a futur 2nd line RW.
Plekanec, he might take over Perrault's spot.
Urquhart has size and looks better, he could be very solid two way player.

The announcer said Gratton. Don't know for sure. Also I think Higgins got the late goal on a tip in front, not Balej, but that's what they said on the radio.

Yes Balej is playing well on the top line. Great to see.

Urquhart is also playing well on the top line with the Rocket. I expected this from him, but I'm in total shock with Lambert being the 2nd in the Q in scoring.

Danny Stewart has 3 pts so far. 1g 2a, he's playing center tonight. 2nd line I assume.

Bulldogs game was fun again!

Feel free to ask questions about it, but I have decided what I think the lines of the future would be, by arranging our team!
Assuming they all do well, and become what I hope they become!

Kastsitsin Higgins Perezhogin (All 1st round picks)
Ribeiro Koivu Zednik
Hossa Plekanec Balej (Imagine that 3rd line, the speed, the communication, the talent! I'd love to see that 4th line today.)
Ryder Bulis Ward
Remember, there will be a lot of trades!!

btw...Komisarek didn't look good, until his game winner, but he totally made up for it!

Looking at that lineup, something is still missing...oh ya...SIZE!

and that lineup could totally change if we get a top 5 pick this year or like Crosby or Ovechkin....

I think it's time to trade Zednik+Plekanec for a BIg Forward

Forward-Koivu-Kastitsyn
Hossa-Ribeiro-Perezhogin
Plekanec-Higgins-Balej
Ryder-Bulis-Ward

Komisarek-Markov
Rivet-Hainsey
Brisebois-Souray

Theodore
Garon

Perezhogin split the 2nd line RW duties with Ferland, but he has a lot of nice moves, he didn't get many shots, but he looked pretty good. He also made a few nice plays in the offensive end. Nothing great defensively.

Balej, he was great again!

Komo looked bad, he was missing hits, and missing passes. The puck wasn't bouncing his way, until the goal!

I think that my defense has more size, and thats where you need it.

Souray, Gauthier and Komisarek are physical D-men. Markov is a top 4 now, and Hainsey is one to be. Get a #5 and your set.

Hossa Plekanec Balej That line doesn't need size, because they all go into corners, make things happen, and on top of that are all good skaters.

Also I am fully aware of changes that will happen in the near future thropugh FA's trades, and drafts. I am basically saying I want to see Hossa Plekanec and Balej play!

Did Higgins tip in the goal to tie the game? On the radio they said it looked like Higgins tipped it. He had a ton of shots.

Oooo, very interesting. I like the idea of getting these three used to playing with eash other, as they all figure into our future.

Does this mean that Perezhogin is starting to come around? I've heard he's had a tough time adjusting to the N.A. game. I think if and when he does get the call up to Montreal, it will benefit both him and Markov, since their circumstances entering the pros were so similar. It will be good for Markov to take on a mentorship role as well. Maybe that will translate to him taking more of a leadership role on the ice, which we sorely need.
