Trivia: All-Star Players

when was the last time the canadiens were able to ice a complete line of (former) all-star players?

because right now, we have samsonov-koivu-kovalev and souray-niinimaa, who all have played in an all-star game

just thought about this the other day, don't know if this has been mentioned already in another thread.

add Radek Bonk

Bonk, Kovy, Samsonov and Niinimaa were there the same year (2001)!

What are the odds that we send our whole 1st line to the All-Star Game?

Same as the chances of a handicapped Thai hooker to score a Stanley Cup winning over-time goal for the Canadiens.

Cherry also mentioned about 5 other guys "that should get the Norris".. Cherry doesn't even know what he's talking about anymore.

Imagine Souray won the Norris he would have ot be at least +15 or 20 though.

It would take a small miracle for Souray to win the Norris. He'd have to put up 70+ points as well as being +20 or so. He'd also have to be consistent.
Souray also isn't part of the "old boys club" of Norris candidates: Lidstrom, Niedermayer, Pronger. Only 9 players have won the Norris in the past 23 years... It would take an exceptional season for Souray to get into that club.
